A good intro to the world of Numan if you're a techno fan.,
By A Customer
This review is from: Mix (Audio CD)
'The Mix' is obviously aimed at the people who heard that Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails, Beck, Hole and Weezer like Gary Numan. It's much better than the failed experiment that the vocals were lifted from called 'Techno Army', but isn't all that interesting if you aren't a fan of techno music. The tracks really aren't all that bad; Leather Strip, Transmutator, Anubian Lights, Information Society and Astralasia did a GREAT JOB; but in most cases the originals are MUCH better. Numan addicts and techno fans who want to find out more about Gary should pick the CD up, but the regular public can (and probably will) pass it over.

Electric Ecstasy!,
This review is from: Mix (Audio CD)
Drop the E and let fly with this one. Gary Numan knows how to get you moving, get you grooving and transport your mind to other worlds and pleasures. If you love to dance, ador techno and simply like to go crazy on the dance floor that is full of crazy people losing themselves in electronic music, then this CD is for you! If not, try that bubble gum called Spears.

Gary Numan - 'The Mix' (Cleopatra),
By
This review is from: Mix (Audio CD)
Fourteen track collection of remixes of Numan's best loved classics. Though I've never been that huge of fan of an artist / band putting out remix CD's, have to admit that 'The Mix' has a lot to offer the typical Numan fan. Dug about every tune here - like both versions of "Are 'Friends' Electric?", the Spahn Ranch remix of "Cars" (as well as the other two here), the Anubian Lights remix of a Numan song I don't remember "A Question Of Faith", Astralasia's contribution on "We Are Glass" and the LCD mix on "We Are So Fragile". Turn this one up at your next all-nighter.
