About the Author

Marva Dasef is a writer living in the Pacific Northwest with her husband and a fat white cat. Retired from thirty-five years in the software industry, she has now turned her energies to writing fiction and finds it a much more satisfying occupation. Marva has published more than forty stories in a number of on-line and print magazines, with her stories included in several Best of anthologies. Many of these stories appear in this anthology. She has eight published books with four more scheduled for release in 2011 and 2012 through MuseItUp Publishing.

I was fortunate to be asked by Ms.Dasef to be a beta reader for the shorts in this supersized book. I found the wonderful variety of stories amusing, imaginative and well written. Don't pass up the opportunity for a great read.Gypsy Crystal

More short stories by Marva Dasef. Like the first Mixed Bag, this collection has something for just about everybody. Like science fiction with a whimsical twist, try "Fish Story;" want something a little more realistic, then "Shasta Lake" might be just the ticket. If you perfer your humor served in bite-sized bits, you'll love the drabbles. Whatever your literary tastes, you'll find it here.

I'm a big fan of Marva Dasef's writing, and this collection does not disappoint. A little something for everyone. The stories are perfect for reading on the go - in the doctor's office waiting room, on the subway, or in bed before you crash. Short enough to read a whole story in a sitting and full of great characters, strong, original plots, and a wonderful writing narrative/style. I highly recommend this book. It's especially convenient on my kindle!
