I'm a big fan of Global Trancemissions Vol. 1 and 2 so I had to get this one. There are a few tracks toward the middle that I'm not particularly fond of, but the first 4 or 5 tracks are excellent.

Overall it's a great CD that any fan of Ferry Corsten should have. If you like Global Trancemissions, you'll like this one.

This is one incredible cd!! I for one was one of the lucky 2000 people that were there that night when they recorded the cd. It would have been better if the album is a double cd set, since tracks such as Pocket Damage, Ligaya, and Out of the Blue were played at the later part of the night. I'd have the say the highlights of the night were Punk and Out of the Blue. From what I heard from a buddy of mine, the Out of the Blue track was a vinyl belonging to one of the fans. Ferry picked it up from him and spun it as the last encore track, which I thought was pretty sweet. For those of you that will be in LA area around the end of August, Ferry will be playing at House of Blue on 8/29.

Let me start off and say this album is fabolous,and by far Ferry's best album.The songs flow perfectly together,and provide so much uplifting,emotional energy...both melodic and epic trance that will make you melt.Any true appreciater of fine trance music will know right away that this is NOT amateur garbage(like some of the new trance)And to top that,it is live,who could ask for more?Way to go Ferry!I wish all of Ferry's albums could be as slammin'as this one.If your looking for a cd like this one,you wont find it on any of his cd's...this one is quite different from the rest.Any dance/trance music fan should go out and buy this album NOW!

fc picked out some really great tracks for this set! and you can tell that by the crowd singing along to his own track "punk". the bonus dvd really makes me wish i was there that night =(

I love trance and Ferry. However, if I remember correctly when I was there that nite at Spundae, I remember there was a brief interruption in the set due to power problems. There must have been some editing in the studio. Having said that, this really is a great mix. A bit anthemic, but hey it works. :) DVD does really nothing to capture that night though. Instead, I wish they would have had a 2nd CD, featuring Tom Stephan's set that was just before Ferry's that night. His set was quality. Would have really captured the whole night.

Anyway, just get this CD if you like trance.

Right off the bat, Ferry has the crowd in a frenzy. I love the echoing sounds of the first 2 tracks (Nothing and Velvet Morning), followed by the epic sound of the 3rd (Purple Haze). FC takes a short breather in North Pole and kicks it back in gear with Beachbreeze...the vocals take me away. To me, tracks 6-8 just coast along, but then he's back for the duration. Punk is just awesome with the crowd chanting with the song. Normally, I hate it when the DJ cuts the music, but only because the crowd wasn't quick to pick up the cue. Here, its perfect. Understatement is undoubtedly my favorite track on this disc. I can only imagine what the music "felt" like in a club setting, as I've yet to hear it on a real system. The disc finishes strong.

Pity the fun only lasts an hour and 18 minutes =(

I guess the best way to describe this cd is to simply say that its addicting. Everytime I play this cd it makes me feel very happy so in essence I want more of it because of the way it makes me feel. It sends me off into a magnificent journey and It makes me forget about everything thats going on. Its just a great complilation and flows extremely well. It's very versatile as well; you have the whole 9 yards. IE. Dark, melodic, uplifting, chill trance so its takes you wherever you want to go plus the crowd does a great job of helping you get there faster. Definately goes in my top 5. There are so many angles covered in this album it's disgusting. I mean no matter what mood your in this mix has something for you. Ferry Cosrten gives us a clear reason why he's one of the best. Highly recommended!

This cd is Great from the first track till the last one. Ferry made a CD that will go down in trance history. This CD is filled with energy and the sound is great. I hope they make a 2nd CD of ferry live. Great CD, get it you wont be disappointed. I've been a ferry fan since day 1 and he never disappoints. This CD shows his skills on the tables

I originally bought this CD because 1) I had heard of Ferry Corsten and 2) wanted check on the advancements made in 5.1 channel sound. I wasn't disapointed on either count. Since buying this Ferry CD, I have got 9 of his others, it influenced me that much. I can put on the 5.1 channel version of this and just lie on my living room floor for the duration. Absolutely amaising. When the croud goes nuts for 'punk' it gives me the shivers every time. An unforgettable CD. Must have for anyone interested in trance and DEFINATELY for anyone with a good surround sound system.

Mixed Live has done a great job with capturing the feel of the crowd and this Ferry Corsten CD is no different. If you listen to the music you can almost really feel like your there. For those fans of Trance and even House who can't get to a world class club, this is as close as you can get without being there. This is a great CD. I've been to Circus/Spundae and can imagine what it would have been like. Espcially when he really turns it on around track 5-6.
Overall great CD. If someone doesnt care for this CD then they really dont like the feel of a real Club. Nothing wrong with that, but that is what you are paying for here.
