I am actually one of the female soldiers that Ms. Rogan followed through boot camp in 1979. She is very accurate in her details and accounts of our experiences for those six weeks. We were the first mixed platoon of woman and men ( really boys and girls!) and we had many challenges that the cadre were not really prepared for. I still know many females in the Army today, and thank goodness lessons were learned from our times to make things better for the women now, not perfect... But better. A very good read especially if you have knowledge of the inner workings of the military.
