I did not think I could purchase a name brand product like Mizani. Most products I buy in the stores dry my hair out and does not last very long. Mizani made my hair really soft after I relaxed it. The best thing I liked was it does not burn like most products I've used. I will be using it again and you can not beat the price. It's well worth it.

For the past month, I've been doing research for hours on end trying to find a better relaxer for women of color. One that is good for color treated hair, conditions, strengthens, helps breakage, and DOESN'T BURN.

Previously, I've used lye relaxers such as Motions & Clairol Texture Tones. Both of them burned like hell. So I switched to no-lye ORS Olive Oil for a year then Optimum Anti-Breakage for a year. The Olive Oil was ok but after the first couple weeks, my hair would be dry/hard. The Optimum burned my edges and I didn't see any progress in strengthen or stopping my breakage.

My choices were between Mizani Butter Blend Sensitive Scalp and Affirm Fiberguard. I chose Mizani because it was the only one I could find in my local beauty supply store. I was a little skeptical with ordering it online plus the shipping costs are outrageous. The relaxer already costs a little more than the ones in the box. However, I am TOTALLY HAPPY with the Mizani. I love the way it makes my hair feel soft & light. It got my hair straighter than expected based on other reviews I've read. And most importantly IT DIDN'T BURN. This relaxer doesn't come with the little neutralizing shampoos & conditioners like the box perms. But it's not a big deal. Plus I don't think it's necessary to use the Mizani Pre-Treatment/Shampoos/Conditioners. They're a little too pricey to me. I used ORS Olive Oil neutralizing shampoo with another brand conditioner & it worked out perfect. Mizani will be my new relaxer from now on...

THIS PRODUCT LIVES UP TO ITS NAME. MY SCALP IS VERY SENSITIVE. THIS IS THE FIRST PRODUCT THAT DID NOT BURN MY SCALP. IT RELAXED MY HAIR LEAVING IT SOFT AND SILKY. I'M TOUCHING UP ABOUT EVERY 9-10 WEEKS AND THAT'S IN THE SUMMER WHEN I SWEAT HEAVILY. I AM VERY PLEASED WITH THIS PRODUCT, WILL ORDER IT AGAIN AND WILL DEFINITELY RECOMMEND IT TO OTHER WOMEN OF COLOR.

I used to think that all no-lye relaxers were the same and that the only exception was the extra product that came in the boxes (conditioner, lotion, etc.) but I have changed my tune and firmly believe that you get what you pay for!!
I will never again buy another box perm just b/c it's on sale. . .I have found my new rhelaxer in Mizani!

My hair is smooth and silky and bouncy and shiny! I waited my usual 7 weeks between relaxing but this feels like the last relaxer (box) didn't do much to my new growth the last time compared to this! I even made the mistake of scratching my scalp a few times this week and I didn't feel any burns or get any scabs after using this relaxer. There was no shedding and my hair doesn't feel dry or brittle, it feels like it's just had a really good deep conditioning instead of a relaxer. . . .I'm hooked!

I've been using this product for about a year now. It's very gentle and doesn't damage my hair. I'm trying to only relax my hair every six months so this product works well with my natural hair texture.

I love this relaxer. My hair is softer and more manageable. Highly recommend to anyone whose been utilizing box perms. Mizani is much healthier for your hair.

I absolutely love this relaxer. I was a little skeptical at first because when I added activator, it turned yellow instead of white like other relaxers. It was really smooth and creamy and there was a lot of it! I can't say the relaxer didn't burn at all because it did burn just a little bit, but I don't have any scabs like other relaxers I have used in the past. Hair is silky and smooth. I will continue to use this even though it is a bit pricey. I am happy with the end results!

I just used this Mizani Butter Blend Sensitive relaxer for the first time, and I can honestly say I'm in love with the product. I'm currently deployed overseas and there isn't many choices here for relaxers, so I seen this one here on Amazon and wanted to give it a try. Im glad I did, because my hair came out so soft and smooth, after not having relaxed my hair for almost 2 1/2 months. I think I found my new product to use even once I get home. I also used it on my friend and she loved it. Two winners in one day. I would highly recommend this product to all.

This made my hair so soft and I had no breakage or shedding. I have never had soft hair after relaxing, this product is amazing and I will never relax with anything else.

I will start off by saying that surprisingly, most of Mizani's products do NOT work for my hair. They leave my hair dry and brittle and in a tangled mess. This relaxer is actually one of the very few things of ALL Mizani products that work for me. I say that because if you haven't had the best of luck with their products, trust me, I don't either but their relaxer is the bomb (dot) com!! lol

I am tender-headed in the worst way and I always have been this relaxer does not damage my scalp, but is strong enough to fully relax my curl pattern. My hair is super thick and coarse and unruly. Mizani butter blend sensitive scalp makes my hair so much better. I try and relax every 8-12 weeks (sometimes sooner).
