I bought this shoes along with Brooks Adrenaline 9, since I was looking for some good shoes to run a marathon and I am an underpronator so I needed to get a stability shoe.Well, let me tell you that I was amazed at the quality of Mizunos shoes. Right out of the box, they seem to be high quality materials. They look good! and most of all, they are very comfortable. I have done some workouts running 5 - 10 k runs and they fit my wide feet very good, and you can feel the extra padding and stability. I own Brooks, Nikes, Asics and now Mizunos, and I belive without a doubt, these are my favs.

This is the second time that we have purchased these shoes. My husband wears them for PT and goes through shoes like there is no tomorrow, who wouldn't when you are running 12+ miles a day?! Anyways these shoes have by far lasted longer than any other brand as well as being more comfortable. There has been plenty of times when he limps himself into the house from wearing horrible shoes for PT, not with these shoes! Like I stated in the title we are a repeat customer and will continue to purchase these shoes until they quit making them :0)(which is never right? Right!).

I needed some solid stability shoes that were lightweight and fit well. I have wide feet and finding running shoes that can be both comfortable, stable AND fit my wide size 13s is a bit of a challenge. These shoes did all of the above and more! I first got them when I was about 300 pounds and they lasted me nearly a year of solid workouts (4-6 a week, 2-3 hours per, minimum of 1 hour of that treadmill or stairclimber work) and they just kept coming back for more. Best pair of shoes I have ever owned, and were a steal when I got them originally over a year ago, I am back too get more of them before they retire this style!

I am apx 190 lbs w/ low arch and expected this shoe to do well for me. It felt very comportable in the store. I did not run in the shoe before bringing it home which is the first and worst mistake that can be made when choosing a shoe. My first run was three miles and I felt like I was running with boards tied to my feet. They slapped the ground with every step and I felt like I was taking a pounding. They may do well for someone bigger or who has a more severe pronation problem but for me they were to RIGID and not enough cushion. I would consider them a more of a motion control shoe and possibly not a very good one of those either. My wife says I am slamming the shoe but this is what I found.

IT is the best shoe I have ever run in. Wide platform excellent stability. It is a shame that version 9 is going with a more narrow shoe.

I think that the product description is poorly stated for us with bad arches as well as incurvated feet. We need high arch support as well as a full insole so that it doesn't hurt us when we walk. However on a POSITIVE note, I bust up the racquetball courts with these shoes on and I don't have hurting feet when I am finished. I would recommend this product for those of us with fallen arches as well as flat feet.Cheers!!! |
