the problem is the way it's sold!,

You can't choose a size, so they just send you some random sized kneepad, the product does come in different sizes, the seller just doesn't want you to have the choice. Second, this is for only one kneepad, it's not a pair, and most people who need an athletic kneepad actually have two knees. One might assume that if you ordered two, you'd get the same size, but that was not, in fact, the case for me. I'm not sure what I can say about the product, mine don't fit, but I will avoid this seller in the future, and I would advise you to as well.

I couldn't select a size on this one and took a flyer on it. Turns out that its a small/med (or child's, perhaps). No matter, I used it as an elbow sleeve and it works perfectly for when you dive on the protected arm. I'd get another one if needed. Disclosure: I'm 6'0", 180 lbs.

Bought this for my 12 year old for 12U fastpitch. My daughter was very pleased, fits perfect and she said it worked great on her first slide! The pricepoint was excellent - a good value for the dollar!! Would def. buy again.

I found that this pad works for me, but only if I'm wearing right. It is small like everyone says. I am not a big guy and it's tight enough to hinder my speed if I don't have it in just the right spot. I needed something to stop me from ripping open my knee over and again, and this did the trick. Not recommended unless you are a smaller than average male, or an average female.

Mizuno Slider stays & protects,

I really like this knee pad for softball. I have tried other brands, but the Mizuno Slider really stays in place. The protection is great for sliding on the gravel laden fields we play softball on. The pad is not bulky or binding either. I am not the biggest guy at 6ft 175lbs., but it fits perfect and doesn't move around during my outfield efforts.
Not being sold in pairs is not a problem. I only need one because I only slide on one leg anyway. Frankly, I am appreciative that they package separately so I don't have to pay for two. The price is cheap enough you could easily buy more. Mine has lasted 2 seasons and is still going strong.

Save your money,

The very first time I used my new sliding pad, I ripped open the same old hairless, tanless patch of skin I was trying to protect. It did nothing for me.

The slider kneepad is a nice material, fits well, bends and for the most part protects, but be aware that this is a single knee pad, so if you were planning on using both your knees, you need to either buy 2 or purchase a different pair.

This was exactly what we were looking for. My son uses them for volleyball instead of the usual bulky knee pads.

I won't play without these!,

I'm a pretty active person so I'm used to having scrapes and bruises. However, having puss coming through work khakis or having to walk funny due to missing skin on my leg is no fun. When I found this slider pad, I knew it would be perfect for softball. Since I'm a foot first slider and always go on my left leg, I only need one.-FOR SOFTBALL/BASEBALL- Sure, I wish they came down a little longer for more calf coverage but the pad covers the main area of my leg where the impact (and the most severe injury) would occur. I end up with only very slight abrasions below the pad -- even after most brutal, bumpy dirt full speed slides. -FOR FOOTBALL- Right now, I play football every week and I wear one of these on each of my legs. Unlike softball, I dive/slide in any direction since I'm reacting much more often. -FOR OTHER ACTIVITIES- Since these pads double as support braces, I no longer need to wear my patella strap on my right leg. I plan on using one of these for my Tough Mudder event in the spring as well. I never feel that these are too bulky or a hindrance during any athletic activity. -RECOMMENDATION- Overall, this is a versatile, durable pad that will protect your knee and the upper part of your calf from significant scrapes. Just keep in mind that these are not meant for knee impact protection. Highly recommended!
