I have owned the Wave Creation line of shoes beginning with the Wave Creation 5's. This current version is as good or better than the previous models. This line has seen me through hundreds of miles, including many 10K's and a marathon with no running injuries. It's great for larger runners with a neutral gate - and that is what it's designed for. Of course, everyone's foot is different and some people will find that a different shoe fits them better. This one works for me. I am six feet tall and 200 lbs. These shoes run about a half size larger than street shoes.

Great Trainer for Full-Sized Runners!,

I received this shoe last night and took my first run with it today. My foot is a little narrow with a medium arch. The first thing you notice when lacing these up is the firm support directly under the arch. Unlike my previous running shoe, this shoe does not feel "mushy". It is a very firm ride with just the right amount of spring. It feels like the energy is being returned back to the leg with less dampening loss and without that sinking feeling you get with some trainers. For me, this is a great training shoe. Just be aware that it is firm and a little on the heavy side.

Solid A,
This review is from: Mizuno Men's Wave Creation 11 Running Shoe (Apparel)
Very comfortable shoe, I own a Sport Performance Facility, and I am on my feet all day. I find myself jogging or running with my classes at least 6 to 7 times a day, so a comfortable and durable shoe is what I am after. These are my first mizuno's but with the performance of these, i can assure you they will not be my last! As a trainer, and an athlete I give these a solid A.

Best running shoe!,

I just hit 350 miles on my Mizuno wave creations and about to order my next pair. This is by far the best running shoe I have ever owned. Like the other review says this is a great shoe for a heavy set person. I'm 5'9'' 195lbs and run half marathons. At one time I thought shin, ankle and knee pain was just a part of being a distance runner. In the last three months I've had no running injuries and my legs have felt good. It's all about having a great running shoe! As a personal trainer I highly recommend these shoes to any of my clients and friends.

So Far So Good **updated!,

**One month update**
Ok, so i've had these for about a month and have logged around 35 miles with them, the longest being 7 miles. They are still great in terms of no soreness or achiness after runs (nothing like i had been experiencing). But the balls of my feet are still getting really sore with these. I'm not sure if I'm still in the "break-in" process, but i dont find these as cushiony as everyone is saying they are, especially in the forefoot area, where most of my impact is. I htink i could still use a little more cushioning. (/update) I've only had 1 run in these, but felt compelled to leave a "first impression" review for these. I will update as I get more mileage on them. First, I've only been running regularly for about a year now, and weigh in at about 200 lbs. For the most part I'm a neutral runner and a midfoot striker, and need a bit more cushioning due to my size. My first pair of running shoes were the Nike LunarGlides, which turned out to be the entirely wrong shoe for me. As another reviewer said, the Nike's were way to soft and mushy. I was turned onto the Creation 11's after using the analyer at the Mizuno site. the Creation 11 definitely provides a good balance of support and cushioning. After my first run, which happened to be one of my fastest training runs, my legs felt great. My feet were a LITTLE sore, which is expected from a new shoe, but my ankles, knees- both felt great. no achiness or soreness, at all. same could be said for the day after. the achiness and soreness were normal after runs for me with my previous shoes. So, if your running type fits this shoe, it works great. Highly recommend, for now!

I used this shoes for 1 year. Logged more than thousand kilometers on 2 pairs. Really good. I'm about 240 pounds and it works perfectly for me. If you are a heavy person, don't hesitate. I tried asics and although they are lighter shoes they don't help my joints very much.

My experience has been great with my Mizunos from Amazon. The fit very well, the size was right on, and they feel just like the shoes I buy at the specialty stores locally, free from defects or any weirdness at all. I can't detect any difference at all. In fact, I may opt for a pair of the Wave Runner 15's from Amazon as well

Ok so I'm 16,I bought these when I was 13 in a size 9 for track and for school. They are GREAT! They are in my closet now.I wore them in the spring of the '09-10 school year to use for track.for cross country I used the asics gel nimbus 11 from august '09 to March 2010 before I got the asics gel gt 2140. 5 kids had them at my school so I figured, why not just get them to? So I got em and the running experience as good, but the inner side of the shoe looked HIDEOUS! So they lasted me from march 2010 to sept 2010 and then I burned em!(the redneck way).the mizuno wave 11 did the job well.they lasted me from when I got the gt 2140 in march 2010 to march 2011! A year! That's a long time! The only thing that bothers me about the shoes is that my pinkie toe got SO numb after only 30 min of wear! I plan to buy the last pair that I can get before they are history.Would I recommend? Yes!

I have been using the WC11 since they were introduced by Mizuno - one of the few pairs of running shoes that I find comfortable. I don't put in many miles, max 10/week, more when it's time for my annual military PT test. I would prefer a little more cushion up front, especially for runs >5-6 miles. I did try the WC12 when it arrived, but fund it less comfy than these; the toe box was too narrow. It will be a sad day when these are discontinued. Hope this helps someone!
