5.0 out of 5 stars Great Marathon Shoe, February 3, 2011
I trained for and ran my first marathon in these shoes. I can't say enough good about them. Like many first-time marathoners, I was running in an inadequate shoe at first and got injured. Major shin splints! I thought my marathon dream was over. But then I got these shoes and slowly but surely those shin splints went away! I over pronate and these shoes were perfect for me. Give yourself plenty of toe room. Love these shoes, I tried a pair of Asics after these, but I will be going back to Mizuno. My husband is also a runner and prefers Mizunos (he uses the Wave Inspire).

These shoes are absolutely terrific. They have great arch support, are light weight and stabilize my movements.

5.0 out of 5 stars saved my back, my knees, my ankles, and my relationship with my boyfriend, February 2, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I've tried nearly every "stability +" shoe out there. This is far and away the best, especially for those of us who like longer runs (6-15 miles). It controlled my moderate to awful pronation, cushioned my foot strike, secured my ankles that are wobbly after 15 years of ballet training, and kept me properly aligned. My friend who is a trainer said that my biomechanics are OK in this shoe. I was able to run longer, faster, more comfortably--and therefore became a much nicer person because i wasn't always gimpy from inadequate support.
can they bring this one back????

5.0 out of 5 stars The only shoe I can run in, December 11, 2008
By
I have tarsal tendonitis, and after trying New Balance and Asics, this is the shoe that works best for me. I have normal width, size 10 feet with long toes, slightly low arches, and I tend to land on my forefoot when I run. This shoe is designed to provide cushioning, but the heel is a bit lower. It is heavier than what I normally would wear, but I'm willing to accept the weight in order to run injury free. The toebox is roomy, the heel cup is high enough to be comfortable even with orthotics, and the fit around the midfoot is snug but flexible. I run in these year-round in snow, rain, and on gravel trails. They hold up beautifully.

4.0 out of 5 stars What a wonderful shoe!, October 7, 2008
I am loving this shoe. It is very stable and well cushioned. No knee pain or back pain of any kind when I first wore the shoe. I wore it so far once on a short 6 mile run. Wait until I use it for my longer runs! I bought one of the Saucony shoes and had the worse blisters imaginable and returned it for this shoe. No blisters! Makes running fun without problems! Love this shoe and style is awesome.
