I usually don't drop so much money on shoes, but I felt like I read every review written and I was sick of my cheap Adidas. I'm flatfooted, run about 10-15 miles a week, and am considering a marathon so I figured it was worth the extra money. Took my first run in them yesterday and they felt great. The toe box is very roomy, which I'm not used to. I guess I was accustomed to having my toes jam to the front of the shoe! The heel is nice and snug, which balances the toe box well. Like every other review says, they are amazingly light-weight. Motion control and stability in running shoes usually translates to heavy, cinder-block trainers. Overall, a great purchase.

I normally purchase kayanos to support my flat feet during my runs. I have also started doing some modified barefoot runs, but can only do a few miles. Though I have been happy with the asic Kayano, they are a bit heavy and I started researching other good shoes for flat feet/low arches. If you go to Mizuno.com they have a precision fit analysis that is actually pretty comprehensive and pretty easy to complete. At the end they make some recommendation of shoes and show you what your running style looks like. I have seen myself run and it was pretty darn accurate to what my feet look like when I run. I have worn these shoes twice, but here's what I think so far: They are fantastic! I cut 25 seconds off per mile. I usually insert seperate insoles into my Kayanos, but have not had to yet with these shoes (again Ive only worn them twice), they are noticably lighter than the kayanos, not sure what the actual weight difference is, but even a few ounces makes a huge difference. A little about me, I have very low arches close to flat feet-doing the watermark test it looks like barney rubbles' feet. I am 5'7'', weight fluctuates between 132-140 pounds, I run anywhere from 30-40 miles/week. I would highly recommend these shoes, but recommend going to mizuno's website first to see what they recommend.

I began (or attempted to start) running about four years ago. Prior to doing so I went to one of the specialty running stores where I explained that I ran distances when I was younger, but now--much to my chagrin--every time I run the bothersome shin splints soon follow. The salesperson fitted me in Mizuno Wave Inspire 3, which wound up being half-size larger then my normal women's size 10B shoe.

Needless to say after four years of on and off training it was time to get a new pair of running shoes. Currently, I'm running approximately 30 miles a week and walking an additional 10 miles. After growing a strong attachment to my Inspire 3's, I was pleasantly surprised to find out the Runner's World had rated the Wave Inspire 7 as one of the top running shoes for 2010. So I took a gamble and order these from Amazon (same size 10.5B women's shoe). To say I was pleasantly surprised would be an understatement. My first time out in these shoes I went five miles and the only difference I noticed was how much lighter the Inspire 7's were compared to my old Inspire 3. (I should mention that I removed the traditional Mizuno sole inserts for the inserts from my Inspire 3's for added stability.) I've been running in my new Inspire 7's for over a week without a single problem. I'm seriously considering getting an additional pair.
