I purchased this to primarily help remember anatomical references and it's a great read so far! It's very simple and to the point with loads of mnemonics, some of which I thought I made up on my own (iPmat for mitosis). My favorite mnemonic so far is "ABCD Bitches!" lol. It's a mnemonic to help recognize melanomas.

This book is not designed to teach or explain information, but only to help you remember the facts that you have been taught. There are 3 sections: Basic Sciences, Clinical Sciences, and Study Tips. Each section is further divided by science or specialty, then further organized where appropriate like General, Ortho, ENT, and Optho for the Surgery Chapter. There are a few small drawings, but it's pretty much a list of mnemonics with maybe a 1 or 2 sentence explanation for each memory aide.

I'll admit, I read many that I was familiar with like ('APGAR' and 'Point n Shoot'), but it's nice to have them condensed in small book. To sum it up, this is one of those books that would be useful through-out all of medical school and probably other allied healthcare schools. The price was't too bad either, though $10 would have been perfect.

I'm a medical student and I found this book very useful. It's small enough for me to carry with me in my clinic coat pocket and review when I'm not shadowing other students who are seeing patients.

This book is great for learning many different medical items. It makes the information easy to retain. I was able to recall many facts on a some test with the aid of this book. This is a must have.

I love reading this book. It provides various mnemonics for one thing to be learnt! Definately a fun way to remember stuff. I would recommend this to every medical student from year one to four!
