I know Alec is somehow attached with another band(Clap Your Hands) but as a stand alone solo album, this is good stuff. Nothing too crazy or anything but just an overall solid album with good tunes. Vocally, his range is a higher pitch and slightly nasally and musically, we are talking modern alternative with piano, guitars and everything. Not a toss off kind of album at all...

I wasn't able to see Alec Ousnworth open for Cold War kids last month in L.A. but I got this record as a consolation. While it lacks any stand out hits such as "Satan said Dance" by Clap Your Hands and Say Yeah, it makes up for it in ecclectic sound and experimentation. I like the song "Idiots in the Rain" and the single "Modern Girl (...with Scissors)" is good as well. This past year saw a lot of lead singers venturing out on their own with solo efforts, and this is one of the few of those albums that I did pick up. I wasn't disapointed but still look forward to Ounsworth rejoining with his bandmates from Clap Your Hands.

Alec Ounsworth has a very unique voice which is playful and easy to listen. Definitely fun to listen too if your are ready to be pulled out of your funk.
