The BlueSoleil software is typical of this and other mainstream Bluetooth dongles. It installed without a hitch on Windows XP. After the initial device pairing with the Microsoft 5000 Notebook Laser mouse (highly recommended) you never bother with the software again. It works in the background. It auto detects the mouse when turned on, and the connection sleeps during hibernation, and restores properly upon awakening.

The low profile is great, though depending on your USB jack, it may sit 1 or 2mm from your case. The rounded shape is a real plus for laptops when sliding them into your bags.

Bought the adapter about 6 months ago. It died after about 3 months. After trying for about two weeks to get to their support to respond they sent me a replacement. The replacement died after about a month. I have spent over a month trying to get another replacement through emails and telephone calls with no luck. Their support is terrible and evidently the adapter has an extremely short life. Don't count on their support or their products if you buy from them.

I received the Mogo Bluetooth adatper bundled with the Mogo PC Card Mouse. I'd been wanting the Mogo mouse for quite a while, but it just didnt make sense to have a mouse that stored in my notebook and a bluetooth dongle I had to carry around.

Set up was quite easy once I realized you had to load the software before inserting the dongle. Works great with 2 devices paired (Mogo Mouse & headphones). Even though the device is very small, range is very good.

The size benefit is a huge plus. I do keep it in my notebook at all times. While it has a very low profile, it does stick out about 1.3cm so be smart about where you plug it and how you store your notebook in its case.

Great solution if you're looking for bluetooth on the go...

This is the third brand of bluetooth that I tried and finally I found one that would wirelessly sync my Treo 700W. I love it...the small size is out of the way on my laptop and I had virtually no trouble setting it up. I'm amazed!

I bought this to use with my iBook G4. The website says it's compatible with Mac and requires no drivers. At first I pugged it in and the light turned on but my computer didn't find it, after some fiddling I got it to work for a while but when I turned it off and tried turning it back on (from the bluetooth menu) it wouldn't work. I got it to work a couple of times after that whilst being very flaky but it finally stopped working entirely. I contacted their tech support but the person didn't have the slightest idea what I was talking about and when the person said that my case would be passed to someone with more Mac experience I didn't hear from them again. So back it went, do not buy this.

This bt adapter comes with BlueSoleil, a BT driver/software from a Taiwanese company. I have an experience of using a Trendnet adapter with an earlier version of this software and it worked quite well. This time, the installer program however showed "error 138" message and quit. I contacted Newton Peripherals twice via their website and they didn't even send an automatic response message. Don't waste your time.

Within two days of receiving this product the plastic enclosure came apart. This was on a flight and 1/2 was lost.
I've tried contacting the company for a replacement with no luck. Beware they won't stand behind their product!!!

I used this on my G5 tower and had several problems one of which the driver provided had flakey results. Plugging it in the back of your computer (via USB) will generate a weak signal. You'll have to at best, mount it on your USB keyboard (2.0) so you can get a decent signal. Your best bet is to get the Newtek USB dongle.

love this little bluetooth! unexpensive,barely notice it and worked out of-the-box.. what else can i ask for? excellent!!

This thing is really cool. I suggest it even if you are not going to get the MoGo mouse. I can use it to transfer data from my phone to my computer, I can use it to play music from my phone thru my computer speakers. It works seamlessly with the MoGo family Mice Products. I could easily see gaming with this duo.
