A traveling man "must have"...,
By Claus "cryoruggie" (Prior Lake, MN United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: MoGo Mouse, Wireless 2-button Bluetooth Mouse (Gray) (Personal Computers)
I must admit that the Mogo mouse is all that the long pre-advertising promised. I'll never loose a mouse again.
It's compact, charged quickly in my PCMCIA slot and works well. It takes a bit getting used to - it's small, and you need to use your little finger to keep it in a good position with your hand. Strikes me as ideal when you're on a plane seat, and have very little surface to move around on. The fact that it stores in the slot makes it delightful when packing up. Why do I need an external mouse when I have the touch pad on my laptop? I use a Dell, and have disabled the touch pad, since I always inadvertently brush over it while typing ( with four fingers). So I'm reduced to using the little rubber nubby dubby on the key board, and recent Dell replacements are very low or squat and don't protrude much - so I hit the "B" key a lot by accident. Using a mouse is necessary for me. Tracking is accurate, and the buttons are surprisingly ergonomic. Connection to Bluetooth was flawless. Life is good! About the only thing I miss is the trackball to scroll down quickly. I'd assume the next iteration of the Mogo will have that... ( I'd rate it 5+ stars if it had a track ball) --------------------- OK, it's now Dec 4th, and the mouse has traveled over several continents. I'd like to change my review to 5 stars. Darn - this thing is neat! It recognizes by my laptop within a couple of seconds no matter where I am, and tracks accurately until the battery is drained. It is stronger than it looks, or it inspires gentleness - I love it. Even without the trackball. And it works on airplane trays, couch armrests, hotel guides - almost any place except glass. Newsprint throws it off a bit too. Now that the price has dropped, there is absolutely no excuse not to buy it.

So I waited a few weeks before i got my MoGo but now that i have it i love it. I am not a fan of clutter and dragging things along with me so i have not bought a mouse because i didnt want to find a spot for it and worry about the wireless adapter sticking out and such. It is very much a mouse for a road warrior. storing it right in my PC Card slot is pure genius and the fact that it charges there is just the icing on the cake. I was worried that being so little it would be uncomfortable but after a little bit you dont even notice its so small. you use the same 4 fingers that youd use to control a normal sized mouse except you dont feel the body in your palm. The range is excellent too, ive used it during power point presentations to click slides over as well. I have yet to test the 30 foot range but im sure it wouldnt be a problem. The only thing i dont like is that there is no scroll wheel. I know that the size of it makes it hard to have a wheel but maybe a touch wheel like one some laptops could have been possible. its a little pricer than most other mice but the convience and performance cant be beat. I dont regret my purchase one bit. I doubt ill ever loose it either because of how its stored. All in all a good buy

Great little mouse,
This review is from: MoGo Mouse, Wireless 2-button Bluetooth Mouse (Gray) (Personal Computers)
This mouse was getting great reviews, so I decided to gave it a try. It's fantastic! I don't have Bluetooth imbedded in my HP laptop so I had to buy an external adapter. But it was well worth it and worked flawlessly (Kensington, make sure it's Bluetooth 2.0). Installation was easy, and tracking performance is great on all surfaces I've used it on. I travel for work and often have to work remotely, and the mouse is always conveniently within my reach. The battery life is good too. I've had it on for 8 to 9 hours straight with no problems. Highly recommend it!

got the great mouse from Amazon :D Great deal too... :D
so in short the mouse is great. why 4 stars...?? and not 5 stars?? If MoGo could include the scroll function... it will be 10stars! ha. Pros Product finishes are excellent. Metal click buttons. Responsive mouse (optical laser). Used it for Hours, doesnt seemed to go flat. Self power saving when in idle mode. Cons No scroll Mouse Feet can be included at the snap out U-shaped support. Thats all. enjoy.

Rejoice laptop users, for a transportable bluetooth mouse has emerged in the market! The Bluetooth MoGo mouse fits perfectly in the PCI slot for your laptops (well, unless you don't have one). Not only does this count as storage, but it also duals as a charger for this wireless device.
Function-wise, the mouse is perfect. The computer perfectly syncs with bluetooth and responds well with little to no lag. It's not as exact or sensitive as a laser mouse, but it's still good. Overall, I like the product and my brother likes it more, since it's his now. I'd recommend it for someone using it for laptop uses. It's more for navigation then gaming and photoshop, so don't expect stellar performance.

It is very cool. works almost as good as a normal mouse. It has trouble on any surfase that isnt perfectly level and hard. I miss not having a middle wheel. Probably should have waited for the new one to come out.

Have to see it to believe it!,
This review is from: MoGo Mouse, Wireless 2-button Bluetooth Mouse (Gray) (Personal Computers)
I just purchased a MoGo mouse, and I'm *amazed* at how usable it is. I was extremely skeptical (and probably wouldn't have bought one) until I was able to try a colleague's mouse and see for myself how comfortable it is. The ONE thing - and it's a pretty big thing - is the lack of "scroll-wheel" technology. That's a sorely missed feature in this mouse.
That said, there are always trade-offs, but in this case that's the only one. Battery life seems great, usability is great, convenience is great...just add the touch pad and it'll be THE mouse for notebook computer users!

Excellent with Scroll++ software added,

I recently purchased this mouse after reading the reviews here. I was suprised that most had not mentioned the Scroll++ software. It is a must to go along with this (or any non scroll mouse). You can download it on the Newton website. It allows you to scroll using the right click button. Right click functions as normal. You hold down the right button while moving screen around. Works kind of like an Ipod touch screen. It is even better than scroll mouse because it scrolls left and right also.
As far as the mouse is concerned, it is wonderful! I had to disable the touchpad on my laptop because I was forever clicking when I didnt mean to. I needed a mouse- MoGo fits in my laptop and charges itself. I have never had a problem.

Good for the Road Warrior,
This review is from: MoGo Mouse, Wireless 2-button Bluetooth Mouse (Gray) (Personal Computers)
Great compact mouse for the road warrior. Addition of the download for scrolling software is a must. My only complaint on this mouse is that it will not automatically re-link to the Bluetooth on my laptop as all my other Bluetooth devices will. The documentation says it is supposed to, but tech support never replied to my request for a solution, despite several attempts. The mouse will also break link after being idle for several minutes. Although handy, this mouse would be EXCELLENT if the above problems were fixed.

I could not give this great rating. I really love the slim design and how it stores and charges in my Mac's PC card slot. That makes it very convenient. It's always with my laptop and always charged. BUT...the infrared works lousy on it compared to other mouses. Unless you use it on a mouse pad, the mouse performs very poorly. Others, I used worked very well on desk-tops, sheets of paper, books etc.. This one does not. Maybe they improved the new one.
