Looking in the local stores, including the "Big Box" electronics store where I purchased the tablet, all the cases were thick and bulky. Looking in Amazon for cases specifically for the Toshiba Excite 10 AT305, there were not a lot of choices. This one looked the nicest for the price, so I ordered it. It arrived on the predicted date.

Designed just for this tablet, all the cut-outs for cameras, buttons and ports are in the right places. The tablet slides into a formed holder on the "hinge side" of the inside of the case, and stays in place with a velcro tab. (No rubber bands holding it in place!) The case itself is thin (thick and stiff enough to afford some protection for the tablet, though), and latches lightly closed using concealed magnets. Closed, it is close to twice the thickness of the tablet by itself, certainly still compact enough to carry comfortably. There is a tab on the outside of the back to fold the front cover into for propping it up in landscape mode, and a strap on the inside of the front cover to help you hold it while moving around.

There is a small flat loop of something like elastic is on the outter edge of the tablet holding piece, looks like to hold a stylus. (I'm not using stylus, so I can tell you how well that will work out.) There's also a small "pocket" inside the cover, not wide enough to hold a business card - not sure what it's there for, but not too worried about it.

The case doesn't fold completely flat when opened all the way, but I've only been using it for two days - it may need to loosen up a bit more.

All-in-all, a very nice case, and just what I was looking for!

I've had this with me daily for 2 weeks now and I'm pleased with it. This case is well made and fits the Excite 310 perfectly. All ports are easily accessible and unlike what I've read about other brands, I can charge my tablet while in the case with the case closed. The cover has 2 magnets that do a fine job of keeping it closed when that is what you want. The cover folds back to make a stand that works in 2 positions that seem about right for me. In one direction the tablet stands slightly leaned back from vertical (landscape view) and flipped over it works well in a flatter position. Overall, the functionally, appearance, quality are worth the price point and I would buy this cover again if needed.

Update after 3 months of daily use this case is still holding up just fine. Still happy with the purchase. Also, the SD card can be inserted and removed while in the case with relative ease. I still highly recommend this case.

It is amazing that brick and mortar stores that carry the Toshiba Excite 10 AT 305 tablet do not carry a custom cover case for it. Only in one case I saw a dinky one at an exorbitant price. In one store (name witheld) the sales person suggested me to get it from Amazon (as if I did not know, actually I had already ordered and was waiting for the delivery.)

The good

1. It is specifically designed for the Toshiba Excite (16 Gb, 32 Gb, or 64 Gb, I have the 64 Gb version.) All of the openings correspond to ports, switches, or objectives.

2. The outside is leather (not really a good quality but nevertheless it is leather.)

3.Stiches without defects. and it fits well.

4. Inside although artificial faux suede is not ugly.

5. Places to store an SD card and a tablet pen, well thought.

The bad

1. The magnets to hold the front cover are not strong enough to hold it closed when you turn it upside down.

2. A little on the heavy side.

3. There is a strip to slide your hand into to hold the cover and the tablet, but if you turn your hand accidentally upside down the tablet does not stay in place.

4. The padding is weak or non-existent.

And the ugly

1. Made in China. (I would have paid $10 more if it was manufactured in USA with better attention to detail. Amazon should disclose where things are made in and let us decide.)

2. The stiches are white.

3. Not sure how long it will last.

4. It does not have a stand for the portrait orientation

Overall, better than what I have seen in stores. It works but with only average functionality. With a little more thought it could have been a huge success.

Was so worried that this would not fit as the Excite says it is the AT 300 and not the AT305. Perfect fit. Perfect cut outs for everything and had a very speedy delivery. Very happy. I do with the magnets were a little stronger... but otherwise very well made. :)

It is surprising how hard it is to find a decent case for the Toshiba Thrive. The ones I saw at the stores looked way too bulky while most of the ones online were only coming available later in July. I ordered the Moko case and it certainly exceeded all my expectations. It fits beautifully, it is stylish and features a SD card and a stylus holder that make this completely unique.

The tablet fits very well and securely, and, all the buttons, cameras, ports and charging slot line up with the appropriate cutouts flawlessly. Magnets on the cover flap hold it in place and prevent it from opening unintentionally when held in any position.

All in all, this case is well worth the money and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quality case.
