Not their best,

Not their best. First buy "Rubber Factory" and "Thickfreakness." Those two albums are among the best of the millenium. If you need more Black Keys, get "Chulahoma." This album is for hardcore Black Keys fans only.

I'm glad I added this to my collection even though it's not my favorite Black Keys. I would certainly recommend this CD

TBK might be the best band you have never heard of. This is a fantastic album. If you like blues rock you will love this album. These guys have an original sound that can't be beat.

"The Moan" Arguably TBK's best song!,

I'm kind of surprised more people haven't reviewed this EP. "The Moan" aside from "Busted" is my favorite of all TBK songs. The main riff sounds like a take off of Howlin' Wolf's "Moanin at Midnight". The middle of the song is Carney at his best and Dan ripping it up with variations of the great blues riff. This song alone makes this EP worth buying. I also really enjoy the fast paced new version of "Have Love Will Travel". This song was already a good one from their album "Thickfreakness" but it's made even better here. The Keys have another reprint on this album "Heavy Soul". I like the song but I wish they would have written a new one or put one of their unreleased songs in place of heavy soul. I don't see the need for a 4 song EP to feature two songs previouse released. If they had done something else other than heavy soul I might give this 5 stars. Next the Keys cover the Stooges "No Fun". I enjoy the song and it's a nice cover but it is not as great as the original. And no I'm not going to give it 3 stars because of the length of the album, it's called an EP for a reason people. Overall 4 stars. 2 great songs and 2 good ones.

A Great single put out by the Black Keys. The perfect balance of Lo-Fi. Sleazy, Garage Blues.
Love it.

from the moment you begin listening. The Black Keys are a burst of the best sound in ages. They are nothing but great grinding guitar and the best of drum beats. If you are truly a music lover, you must at least listen to them once in your life, see them once in your life, and buy this album! "The Moan" comes in nice and easy and builds up to where, even though it might sound chessy, you're body will be moaning from the pleasure it delivers. Dan Auerbach's voice is honestly one of the better male blues voices out there. "Heavy Soul" is a song we are reintroduced to and does it sound better than ever: more livelier if you ask me. "No Fun" is definitely lots of fun to listen to. "Have Love Will Travel" is also very very very awesome... it makes you think you are sounding to something straight from 40 years ago when the intro first kicks in. I swear, I can't put my finger on it, but this one is definitely inspired by some great rock of 40 years ago. Yes I know this is a cover, but I do not think it sounds like the covers as much as whatever song it is I am thinking of. My advice... GET THIS ALBUM!

This album is good with it's only drawback being it's length... almost a "tease" album as just when you get going, it's over.

Umm....,

Everything else they've done is better than this, so this e.p. is kinda pointless. I've never heard a more boring cover of "no fun"....
