This cd is AMAZING. The genius soloing and improvisation of each melody blew me away. Nancy Wright is a refreshing musician. After hearing her artistic playing in this album, I was left hungry for more of Nancy's big tenor sound.

It doesn't get better, April 15, 2009

Great CD. If you like soulful jazz, strong melodies and inventive soloing, this is definitely worth your listen. Nancy's big tenor sax is all over it, backed by the Tony Monaco Trio... which means lots of fat B-3 organ and fluid jazz guitar to play off of. Everyone on the CD is a heavy weight, and it's enjoyable to hear them work together. Next on the list - check out Nancy's work on B.B. King's Blues Summit album, or with Elvin Bishop. And search youtube for clips of Tony on tour with Pat Martino. Good stuff.

Want to Hear More, April 1, 2009

I heard her version of Moanin' on the car radio today on the way to work. She has a "big" sound. She did not appear to improvise much on the tune. The organ sounded strong. I would like to hear some other tunes on the CD.
