It is hard to find good diesel oil for a VW tdi, this is the perfect stuff, protects the engine and the turbo. I had my turbo burn out when using the oil that oil change places carry in stock, definitely worth getting the right oil.

I've been using the various grades of Mobil 1 for over 20 years; in every gasoline and diesel-powered vehicle I own. Engines still start if it's 25 degrees below zero, and Mobil 1 provides superior lubrication even on the hottest summer days in the southern deserts. Great stuff; AND: As new oil it is much less toxic than regular engine oil.
