I'm using this file manager with the LG AX-5000 and it works pretty well. For creating ringtones, it's good. You can add MIDI and MP3 tones easily. The program comes with a lot of sample tones to get you started, but you can probably make ringtones you like better from your MP3 collection. I use an MP3 editor, Total Recorder, to snip out little musical licks to use as ringtones. You can also find a wealth of sound effects on the web to convert to ringtones.

For creating backgrounds, the editing software is very good. With a little practice, you can make backgrounds that look very good. Find a picture you like (preferably taken with something other than your camera phone) and the program lets you crop a section from a photo to fit exactly on your phone's screen. Here's a hint, grab a corner of your source photo and resize the picture so that the cropping frame can get just the part of the picture you want. You can resize the cropping frame, but the results seem better by resizing the photo first.

The file manager works well too. I used it to edit my contacts list and then upload the results back into the phone. It sure beats trying to make entries with your phone's keypad.

One shortcoming, and I don't think it's the fault of the Mobile Action software, is that you can't use it to download video files from you AX-5000 phone. A video file may exist on your phone, but the software can't see it to download it. The program is also supposed to be able to let you use your cell phone as a wireless modem for your phone, but I haven't been able to get the feature to work. I haven't tried syncing my Outlook contacts to the cell phone either since I don't use Outlook.

For me, just the ringtone and background creation functions are worthwhile, and the contacts editor and file manager are nice extras.

Very pleased with the timely shipping and the packaging. So far the V Cast software, USB phone cable, and headphones have met my expectations. Price was reasonable as well. I will strongly consider ordering cell phone accessories from this supplier in the future.
