Review of Lee "Mobile Communications Engineering",
By A Customer
This review is from: Mobile Communications Engineering: Theory and Applications (Hardcover)
This book was the required book for a course, I liked the recommended text much better. OK overview of current analog cellular telephony and fading channels. Not particularly well organized or written, this book was updated from a much earlier edition and the update seemed to me to be hasty and incomplete. A lot of currently relevant material was missing.

Lots of information but not readable,
This review is from: Mobile Communications Engineering (Hardcover)
The book has the feel that the author has updated a very old version. The updates and the new material don't merge smoothly. There are references to 1970s which should have been updated by new developments.
Although covering a lot of material both theoretical and practical none is pleasant to read. It sit in my shelf for a few years, I barely made a dent. Time to donate to the library. |
