I've read all the DJ books out there, and this one seems to miss many important technical points. It doesn't cover much on beat matching and scratching, and the song lists are dated. It is easy to read and does have some good information on real business setups, but you can get that almost anywhere!

Stacy did an excellent job writing The Mobile DJ Handbook. It is by far the most comprehensive and easy-to-read book about DJing on the market. I was inspired and learned a truckload of great ideas that are sure money-makers. This book will help both beginners and pros to be successful. I believe it should be required reading for every mobile disc jockey who aspires to be a professional and/or run a profitable business. In it you will find valuable information on developing, expanding and marketing your company; buying music and equipment; setting your price; running events and a whole lot more. I highly recommend you buy it!

The Mobile DJ Handbook was written as an excellent guide for the aspiring DJ to begin his or her new business, however it is also a great refresher for the experienced mobile DJ as well. The book contains great ideas on how to expand and develop your business through learning to market and sell your company.

The Handbook covers all of the bases when it comes to your business. You can find sample brochures, letters, contracts, and information sheets. For the beginner, there is information on buying equipment, running your shows, setting your price, and essentially, how to be a professional. The mobile dj field is a fun and exciting business to be involved in and this book will help you be successful in it.

Probably one of the best things about the Mobile DJ Handbook is the fact that it is written in down to earth language. By taking advice and ideas from many of the industry leaders, Stacy has made the path much easier for the first time company owner.

Stacy does a very respectable job of educating rookie, as well as established, mobile djs. There are some excellent interviews and profiles of top mobile DJ/entertainers. It is an incredible source of inspiration if you are trying to emulate or pattern yourself after those of us who are already successful in this high paying industry.

I look forward to a more detailed follow up by Stacy, and possibly interviewing her for the sequel to my first book on mobile DJ/entertainment, "Making Money As A Mobile Entertainer". She seems like she'd be a fascinating interview. Get the book - she did a wonderful job.

As a former On-Air/Radio DJ, I had longed to join the ranks of the Mobile Entertainer. Try as a I might, I couldn't seem to find enough information on how to break-in. Sure there are plenty of resources for buying equipment, but that left so much unmentioned. THIS BOOK HAS IT COVERED! Ms. Zemon did a great job breaking down the do's and don't, the in's and out's and everything in between. I thank her for the book and you'll thank me for recommending it. It's a great resource!

This book provides a generic outline and a good start for the topic. There needs to be a followup with more info and detailed guidance on how to go from point A to point B. The book leaves you at the starting gate.

I got into Djing at age 13, and the smartest thing I did was get this book! It taught me how to properly market my business to generate referrals, place ads, create contracts, and maintain a succesful business. Having been in business for 5 years since then I can attribute all my knowledge of DJing to this book. Highly recommended to all beginning DJs, or those looking for better ways to market themselves or generate more business , this book has the ideas to get you started. (maybe the never edition is updated-some of the hairstyles are a little past their time in the pictures)

This Book did contain some brief useful information. But lacks description,not focused enough for beginners.

I have been djing,doing sound for 1 year.Idj for school Dances,schools PEPRALLEY,chruch youth events onley My church I go to.and sometimes I do Brithday Party.This Mobile DJ HandBook Help Me lern how to fade songs and scracth.this book help alot Me alot but I dont have my dj equpment yet but I use my Uncle dj equmpent.Im not ready to have a Dance club it probley be 19 YEARS. Im onley 15 years old. I play R&B,Rap,Dance Mixes,Ragey and some times rock. I Love to dj alot.............
