I purchased this case in January and have been using it for almost 4 months now. Initially it came without a strap......which was apparently accidentally left out at the factory. I contacted Mobile Edge directly, and they immediately resolved the issue with excellent and personal customer service. I almost never write any kind of reviews whatsoever, but since this was such a positive experience, I wanted them to get rewarded in some way if I could return the favor. The case is large, but it is lighter than the case I had for a smaller laptop. I'm now using an 8 pound "mobile workstation" 17" class computer that's for doing real production work and is not really for work while jammed in a regional jet. (It's for 3D animation, not e-mail or word processing.) The quality of the materials on this bag are very good. It feels like the dash of an exotic carbon fiber sports car. It is put together very well. It feels like the bag could protect you from gun fire with it's textured ballistic material. The quality of this material is better than other ballistic bags I own. The top loading case is nice, as is the padded sleeve for the laptop. There is gobs of room in here for other items and every accessory you can imagine. The price was also very reasonable. It costs about a third of what my last one cost. The only criticism I have for the bag is the split handle is not terribly comfortable for extended periods of time. However, that is really a nit pickey comment considering the trade-offs in function and weight. If I ever need to replace this one, and it's doubtful that will be anytime soon, I would definitely go with another Mobile Edge product since they really have good designs, good manufacturing, and great customer service. Oh, the styling of this bag works for professional environments very well - I don't think the picture does it justice.

I got an offer to get this case at a discounted rate with the purchase of my new laptop. Normally, I am skeptical of offers like this, but I found this case to be exceptional. It is VERY high quality. I think I would drop it and my laptop would be just fine. A couple of layers of protection and nice pockets to hold all your accessories like chords, flash drives, and whatever else you need.

I have has several laptop cases and this is by far the very best one. I have put it through the paces and it still looks and performs great.

This is a very well designed and made bag and has the most protective cushion I have ever seen in a laptop bag, the bag itself I love. However, there is a major flaw with the clasps that attach the shoulder strap to the bag. I always use the shoulder strap and every time I set this bag down and later pick it up by the shoulder strap, I have to specifically look at both of the clasps where the strap attaches to the bag to insure they will not catch. If I don't look and just lift the bag up, the clasps can catch on bag hooks and can/will slip right off.

4 times in the first 2 weeks I have used this bag, I picked it up, one of the shoulder strap clasps popped tight off the buckle and BANG! Down goes my $1700 laptop crashing to the floor. In tight spaces like airplanes where it is hard to look, you are risking your laptop. The strap has popped off in the airport, on an airplane, at home, and getting out of my car. Every time it happens, there is no time to react, the bag and my laptop just crash to the floor.

If you are going to use the handles to carry this bag, you will be fine. If you want/need a shoulder strap, skip this bag. I've gone through several similar bags over the last 10-15 years and have never seen a problem like this. The bag is superior to everything else I have had, but the shoulder strap is inferior to everything I have had. End result, I have to return it or give it away, my laptop is too expensive to go through this anymore.

The bag is very well made. It has plenty of room for your computer and other documents that you may need. The case comes with a smaller case that your computer goes into and then you place it in the bag. Ultimate protection! My bag didn't come with the inner case, so I thought I would email the manufacturer about the issue. They responded in less than 24hrs and sent the inner bag two days later. I would recommend the bag because of the quality build of the case and the customer service that I had.

Good quality product. Great case with more than enough room for a 17" laptop and all the accessories that go with it. I looked at several other cases that cost more before I bought this one. This is a far better value, provided better protection and has a lifetime warranty.

When I bought my laptop I had no idea how hard it would be to find a decent carrying case but boy do I know now. Luckily Mobile Edge got it right with this bag, my 17.3" laptop fits perfectly and there is more than enough room in it to carry all the other things that I carry with me on a daily basis. Surprisingly it's not as heavy as I thought it would be and compared to my leather Kenneth Cole case that I carry my 15.4" laptop in, this one is light as a feather. I would highly recommend this case to anyone looking for that hard to find case for a larger laptop.

I purchased this bag for my wife last Christmas and although she doesn't use it very much, I do. For the price of the bag, I haven't had any problems with it. It is very well made and durable. The swivel hooks on it are very sturdy and strong. I use it for school now and the amount of weight the bag can withstand is astonishing. I can load it down with my 17.3 in. HP and about 3 hard-back books (various sizes). My degree is in EE so the amount of the utilities I carry around is a lot and there is a pocket for everything.

Overall, very dependable and professional looking bag.

Case was just what I wanted for a friend. Light weight to fit his large-screen laptop; he liked it!
