It's an outstanding item. I bought it used a year ago, and it still works great. The fan is not that loud, despite the other review, unless you have it next to your ear...which would be difficult while you drive.

I use the Mobile Powerflex car travel adapter with a camcorder Canon HF 200 and it works beautifully, a very good alternative to these expensive hig power camcorder batteries!
On the negative, the fan can be a bit noisy after a while, so pump up the volume of your stereo!
