4.0 out of 5 stars Another Gundam Seed side story manga!, May 21, 2011

This review is from: Mobile Suit Gundam SEED X ASTRAY Volume 1 (Paperback)
Continuing the story of the Seed Astray universe, 'X Astray' introduces new characters and Gundam MS. The main characters are Canard Pars, who is a crazy, obsessed, long haired version of Kira Yamato and a failed product of the same 'Ultimate Coordinator' project that spawned Kira. Manipulated and lied to by higher powers he's armed with the Hyperion Gundam and sent on a quest to find and defeat Kira Yamato to claim the title of 'Ultimate Coordinator' and encounters new characters and rivals along the way, including a young clone version of Mu La Flaga named Prayer Reverie, who for reasons unclear is piloting a prototype Zaft Gundam called the Dreadnought, which is the testbed unit for Rau le Crueset's own Providence Gundam. Nicknamed the X Astray, these new characters go on their own adventures, while interacting with already familiar characters from the Astray and Astray R volumes.
