Try the app now
Try this app right now on your computer. You control the app with your mouse and keyboard to experience it like you would on your phone. Test drive this app before you buy.
How does this work?
Clicking the “Test drive now” button launches a copy of this app on Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), a web service that provides on-demand compute capacity in the cloud for developers. When you interact with the simulated phone using your mouse and keyboard, we send those inputs over the Internet to the app running on Amazon EC2 — just like your mobile device would send a finger tap to the app. Our servers then send the video and audio output from the app back to your computer. All this happens in real time, allowing you to explore the features of the app as if it were running on your mobile device.

Usage is simple:
  • Touch the very bottom of the screen and slowly swipe your finger up towards the middle of the screen.
  • When you get towards the middle, the wave appears.
  • Without raising your finger, swipe left or right to select the desired application.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very customizable! May 8, 2011

I'm not going to change the star rating, bc I still really like this app alot. But I'm annoyed that there's an update available for this app on the android market for over a month, but no update from Amazon yet. This is not the only Amazon app I've had this happen with.... if it continues, I'm not going to use Amazon anymore.

Original review:
This is a really cool app. I just downloaded it today bc it was free, but if I'd known about it before it would totally be worth the dollar. I really like how you can customize the size and location of the launch area, and how you can combine both set apps and recent apps.

5.0 out of 5 stars If only anyone would read the description... May 8, 2011
Wave launcher is not as told in the comments only accessible by swiping from the bottom to the top! it is fully customizable which makes it even the best of any competitive app! you can change the way you swipe (access it by the right left or from the bottom), even the thickness of the gesture area so that it not causes any problems with any other app (or the keyboard) and you can shorten the gesture area which is an amazing feature! I am a proud user of it! And the best thing happening is that if there is anything, any idea to make wave launcher even better you send them an e-mail which gets answered for a hundred percent! Best support for the best app the store!

5.0 out of 5 stars Love it! September 19, 2012

I absolutely love this app. I use it ALL the time literally. I've added my most used apps it and the are available at the swipe of a finger. One thing to note is the location where you start the swipe. Where I had it placed before it would interfere with the keyboard, but you can configure where you want the swipe to start.

3.0 out of 5 stars Well built May 8, 2011

This app is great, but part of what makes android a great os, is how accessible everything already is. I think this is overkill, dont get me wrong...great design, very intuitive, webOS duplicate, it's just not needed in android.

Wave launcher has increased my productivity to immeasurable levels!! Being able to have access to my frequently used apps (Facebook, Pulse, Gmail, Browser, Phone, Txt, Camera, Flashlight, and Brightness Control) has been literally a paradigm shifting experience. This single app is the reason I am staying on the Android platform for the foreseeable future!! Thanks MobileMerit!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Handy September 8, 2011

This app is extra useful, allows a quick way to access my most used apps from any other app. Great for switching between apps on the fly or pulling up my calendar while reading my email then switching back. Great customization, with minimal intrusion. Makes my Android experience that much better.

1.0 out of 5 stars Sure, read this review
I think this was a text input app. It failed, whatever it was. It might have improved since I first used it about 2 years ago. But it was terrible when I used it.

What's worse, now that I've uninstalled it, Amazon won't remove it from my list, a constant reminder that I should never have downloaded this app.
