There seem to be a lot of both 1 and 5 star reviews here, and I think I can explain that. This bike is, in effect, a recumbent trike that can accomodate everyone from a 7 year old (and maybe smaller, for all I know) to an adult. But it IS a trike without a chain or gears -- the pedals go direct into those little wheels. What it is perfect at -- and useless for -- are both directly related to that fact.

What it CAN'T do is pick up much speed at all... or for that matter, get up a steep hill very easily. So if you're looking for a bike that'll handle a commute or trips to the store, you'd be nuts to buy this thing. It'll be useless, you'll hate it, and you'll and be mad about being out a bunch of money. So... there's your one-star reviews accounted for.

What it CAN do is give excellent exercise and cycling experience for people who *can't* normally ride a bike. While you wouldn't want to ride real far in it, taking it for a mile-long spin through the local park is no problem at all. So: let's say you have a bad back or, as in my case, an autistic kid who's a flight risk on a bike. Well, this thing will get you in the fresh air and give a you a very pleasant but meaningful workout.

For an autistic kid, it's a godsend. My son needs constant supervision, so we can't just have him tooling around on a regular bike. The Triton is *just* fast enough to be fun for him, and yet just *slow* enough that I can keep up with him at a good brisk walk. There's little danger from him falling off a bike so low to the ground, and I can keep up on foot to make sure he doesn't go veering off into a road or something. And the bike itself is fun and unusual enough that when his schoolmates see him on it at the park, they're fascinated and want to try it out themselves. Which is high praise indeed!

We purchased this bike for our adult Down Syndrome son. He loves it. Since it has arrived he spends at least 1 - 2 hours each day riding it. His weight is slowly coming down; his energy level has increased tremendously as also his self confidence and independence.

We had tried traditional bikes, but he struggled with them due to balance and the seating. The Triton with its recumbent seat and rear wheel navigation gives him security and control.

Without a doubt, we would highly recommend it for any special needs individual. It is just FUN!

"Not only is this is wonderful product that my whole family loves, but
my doctor also recommended the use of this product for me to exercise
my legs, which have been giving me problems. Also, the transaction was
as smooth as silk. The seller was very helpful and responded to the
one question I had quickly and competently. The product and service
here were the best. Thank you so much. I'm planning to buy two more
for Christmas gifts!"

I love it! I have a spinal disability and the Triton helps me get exercise I can't normally get (walking, running, gym workouts, etc). I'm also over 50 and when I got on the Triton it made me feel like a kid again. I actually found myself laughing at myself while I was riding. The neighbors had a blast checking it out, too!

I don't know what I expected from a $200 bike but it sure wasn't this. First the good points, the paint job is great. The frame is sturdy and appears solidly constructed. Now the bad, the engineering behind the adjustable frame is poor at best. In order to ride the bike at all you need to stretch it out to one of the last notches which makes the bike unstable. Even moderate pedaling causes the bike to buck like a wild horse and it feels like it could fall apart at any time. The crank system is too short and feels like a circus bike, it also does not stay assembled. There is nothing more frustrating than trying to ride a bike that keeps loosing its pedals. I have owned this bike for less than a week and I need to replace one of the tires already. Most everything about this bike has been frustrating and disappointing. As far as the "fun" that this product promised me, the only thing fun will be getting rid of it. I would not recommend this product to anybody.

Purchased this Triton 3-wheeled Cruiser for our grandson Joey as his Christmas present. He has a balance issue and has been unable to ride a two-wheel bike, but this one is his "hot cruiser". He is 7 years old and just loves this bike, it is well worth every single penny! His face lights up every time he snaps on his helmet and sits down to ride. What a fun bike...

The description online states it is for adults. It is for kids. we have since discovered you have to look at the length of the bike. It should tell you from small to largest length. Amazon was good about refunding our money.

I bought this trike so I could get a little fun and exercise while nursing a broken foot (I'm 38). It does NOT go fast at all -- you reach the max speed very quickly, and at that point the pedals just flop around. The neighborhood kids LOVE it and ask to borrow it all the time. It IS a fun little ride, with the steering allowing you drift through turns. (It can tip over, though.) I wouldn't use it for serious exercise, though.
