From the Manufacturer

Be comfortable, the design of Moby Wrap for it uses your entire back, as well as your shoulders, to carry the weight of your baby. Unlike other carriers, which have narrow straps or go across one shoulder, the Moby Wrap is a wide piece of fabric that is wrapped over both shoulders. It is amazingly comfortable and easy to wear. There are no buckles, snaps or other fasteners. It is easy to adjust the fit of your Moby Wrap by varying how tightly you wrap yourself and your baby. Be secure, the Moby Wrap comes with an easy to follow instructional guide, with the single stretch cotton and the width of the Moby Wrap, your baby is wrapped close and tight, insuring a secure hold. Your baby's head can also be secured under the stretchy cotton fabric for added safety. Be uniquely close to your baby, there is not a lot of extra material or bulky padding between you and your baby. Your baby can hear your heartbeat and finds comfort in the warmth of your body, along with the cuddly confines of the Moby Wrap. Preemie to 35 pounds. The Moby Wrap is long enough to adapt to your growing baby. The fabric measures 5.5 meters "Moby Wraps" and 5 meters "Moby D" in length and can hold up to 45 pounds, and most people feel comfortable carrying up to 35pounds. Versatile, there are many ways to wear your Moby Wrap. You can wear baby facing you, facing the world, sideways, or on your back. When not being used as a carrier, the Moby can be used as a blanket, pillow, or as anything else that comes to mind.

I love the organic, knowing it is all natural in the material. I also love the hold, very natural and close fitting... baby instantly falls asleep. I keep the wrap on while I'm driving around, and just put baby in once we get to destination. You get faster and faster the more you do it... definitely my favorite sling/holder.

It took a few tries to figure out, but with a few youtube videos I quickly got the hang of the Moby. I loved it for skin-to-skin time with my newborn around the house. It felt supportive for both of us and my baby seemed to love it. He fell asleep instantly. The problem was that he overheated very quickly if he had many clothes on. The fabric is thick and soft and a little too warm for my baby. In the winter months, I would dress him in a simple cotton body suit, put him in the wrap, and button my maternity coat over him. This was fine until we stepped inside somewhere, where he would start to get hot and upset very quickly. It was also complicated to transfer him from Moby to carseat, because I couldn't dress him warmly enough for the carseat and put him in the Moby. My comfort and closeness ratings would be 5 stars. I had to take off two stars, though, because I only got a couple of months out of my Moby. From late spring on, it's too hot for my baby.

I was desprite to find something that I could use safely and still have my baby close to me. My child has severe acid reflux to the point he would choke frequently and it was scary to me to think I couldn't get to him fast enough. With this product I could get my housework completed, play and interact with my 3 year old, and still have my son with me @ all times. After you get use to the different positions and how to wrap your infant, it is wonderful. My son loves it. He sleeps in it with ease. It must remind him of being in my belly. I would recommend this product to anyone that has a infant or is going to have one. AWESOME PRODUCT!!

Great wrap for baby & mom bonding, it just takes a while to tie before putting baby in.

Received this as a baby shower gift and loved it. Yes, it takes a few tries to get the hang of tying it but once you do, it's a piece of cake. My little guy didn't like it at first, but I'd give it a shot once a week and one day voila! he loved it. My only gripe is that while it says that it's good for babies up to 35 lbs., I really felt that carrying my baby in this started to get uncomfortable when he was about 15 lbs. Around then, my back and my knee started to hurt. After switching to the Ergo, the back and knee pain disappeared. Still glad I had it for those first few months, but just be aware that it may not last as long as you think -- it didn't for me.

I wanted to love this. I really did. Sadly, it's probably the worst carrier I have tried. I really liked the idea of having my baby close and using it for skin-to-skin time, nursing, etc., as well as for the ergonomic benefits. However, there are two participants in this process, and the most important one has to be on board, too.

Even if we get past so many things - the trial and error of putting it on correctly, the fact that there is no way for a short person to put it on without dragging the ends across the floor, that there is no way to quickly wrap your own torso in five yards of fabric - especially while your baby is crying, and that in order to be efficient (and not have to try putting it on in a parking lot), you need to just wear the thing all day, which not only makes you sweat buckets (thanks, hormones!), but makes you look like you will be auditioning for the next "Star Wars" movie - it just falls short.

My baby hates not being able to move his hands or his head, and the "newborn" wearing restricts all of that in order to have head support. All this lead to was frustrated crying from my little one instead of the loving comfort I was trying to provide. (Yes, I checked to make sure he wasn't bent the wrong way. No, he doesn't like swaddling, either.) He is an active baby, and has been from day one, so the restriction really just makes him mad.

As for me, I'm petite with a short torso, and I had a big baby (85th and 90th percentiles for weight and length). Not only am I overwhelmed by fabric, but even wrapping it as low as safely possible puts my baby nearly in my face. I have to laugh at the idea of "nursing discreetly" in this thing. Sure - if he nursed from my chin!

I am on my second baby with my Moby and it is still indispensable.
Pros:
-It is so comfortable. As long as you put it on correctly (make sure the fabric is spread out on the back and shoulders, not bunched up), this carrier is one you can wear for hours, and never get a backache.
-Babies love it. Both my boys love this carrier. My 2 1/2 year old is too big for it now, but there were many months, while he was a baby, when my husband or I had to walk him to sleep in the Moby every night and at nap time. My new baby is happy in it all day long. I only take him out to let him have tummy time or take care of his other needs or mine.
-Young babies need to be close to their parents, especially their mother. The Moby makes it easy to get other things done, take care of older children, and even leave the house with a newborn.
-It has several different ways that you can tie it, and it's not difficult to learn.

Cons:
-If you want to wear it outside the house, it's hard to tie it without dragging it in the dirt. I always put mine on before leaving the house, but if you have to take the baby in and out several times ( like while running errands) it may get loose and need to be re-tied. I personally use a different carrier if I'm in this situation.
-Like I said, I am on my second child with my Moby, and it has gotten a lot of use, but I still thought I would mention that it has gotten a bit stretched out, making it difficult to get it really snug around the baby. It still works well, just not like new anymore, which makes sense, because it isn't.
