This review is from: The Moccasin Telegraph and Other Stories (Penguin Short Fiction) (Mass Market Paperback)
I started reading W.P. Kinsella with the "Fencepost Chronicles" and quickly realized that here was one of the funniest, most engrossing author's and yet, once you stop laughing, you have a more compassionate, more concerned view of a part of the world that most people never think of. His stories of life on the "rez" are funny, but real and sometimes the truth is brutal. He also writes wonderful baseball stories, such as the one that the movie "Field of Dreams" is based on. More than recommending one of his books, I have to say, read anything he wrote, and you won't go wrong.
