A must have for latin music fans,

Definitely one of the best CDs I have ever heard!! It is on fire from start to finish. Too many highligts to list. If you are going to throw a party then this is the CD you want playing when it gets started. It will have you dancing, laughing and off to a good time. This CD puts Los Mocosos in the Pantheon of such Latin music greats as Santana, Los Lobos, Malo and El Chicano. An incredible offering from the streets of San Francisco that is both fresh and familiar.

If you don't have Mocos Locos you are missing one of the greatest albums in your Latin Rock band collection. Right up there with War, Malo, y todo eso. These dudes have a perfect combination of energy, classic lyrics, and great musicians. A MUST buy CD.

Los Mocosos played in Atlanta GA at the Montreax Music Festival -- they electrified the crowd! Their music appeals to all types; Mocos Locos is a creative blend of the music and culture that's influenced the band.

Resurrected Latin greatness!,

"Mocos Locos" is one of the best albums I have ever purchased. They resurrect that old Latin-influenced muic that I first fell in love with when I found Santana! Los Mocosos have such a fine ability to put such soul into their music, soul that permeates you with the first blastof the trumpet! I guarantee you will enjoy it!

A Natural: Latin Ska,
This review is from: Mocos Locos (Audio CD)
This is a natural beauty, musicianship a cut above garage/surf ska; follows the latin party music tradition but I would place this more akin to punk/ska than its Earth, Wind and Fire latin rock roots due to it's irreverent humor.. Highlights: King of Ska - lounge lizard opening. Volver Volver - romantic slow -dance music w. Spanish lyrics. Lonely Bull - shades of Spaghetti-western soundtrack. Brown and Proud and WetbacK -humorous Thunderball - not many can succeed on the final high note of this cover. Track to be skipped: Volver, Volver Remix - it's like dancing through molasses compared to the straight-on version. This album is steps above their previous - Shades of Brown.

I saw the mocosos live (with the new singer) in Tampa a couple of years ago at WMNF's Tropical Heatwave. The show was amazing; they had everyone out of their seats and dancing. It was one of the best live shows I've ever been to. I immediately ran out to buy an album, but with low expectations. Bands that are that good live usually don't have great albums. I was pleasantly surprised. The CD is just as danceable and fun. And there are some great tracks on the album that are actually better than they were live. This is a must have for anyone who likes hip latin groves.

VIVA LOS MOCOSOS!,

After listening to the sound clips, I went out the next day and bought this album. I'm even considering buying a second copy in case I wear out the first one. Finally there is music that I can relate to both in lyrical as well as musical content. This music overflows with Latin Pride and is funky as hell. It is a nonstop party album from start to finish and I'm sure glad I found out about it. Listening to this music just makes me glad to be alive! I'm a huge fan of Santana and all the old school S.F. Latin rock groups like Malo and Azteca, so it's good to see Aztlán Records bringing out new groups like Los Mocosos from the Bay Area, keeping the flame alive. If you like pure Latin funk, then you'll love Los Mocosos - I guarantee it! I hope this incredible band will continue to make great albums like this. Can't wait for the next one!

I love my Chicano/Latino rock pure and unfiltered. Like the days when street bands throughout Califas and the rest of Aztlan gave rock an organic Latino feeling, Los Mocosos are brown and proud. These carnales are also having a great time in "Mocos Locos." This a puro party band!

This CD is the best of all Los Mocoso's previous CD's.
It has many ole school songs. The lonely bull, volve volve, La Boa to name a few. Like many good bands all good thing's come to a end. Since the first CD all those that followed aren't even close to the first CD. Robert
