I bought this dishwashwer off of a different site where I got it a little cheaper and paid less in shipping costs.

Overall it's not a bad little dishwasher for the price. I did a bit of a remodel on a very small 50's galley style kitchen and really wanted a dishwasher but could only manage to squeeze in one of these 18 inch models.

It's great that you can get something that will fit in a small space. It appears to be doing a pretty good job on the dishes. The instal was completed by a plumber because I was having multiple items installed including a garbage disposal and didn't want to risk doing all the work myself, but it appeared to not be to difficult to instal yourself if you needed to.

I don't really have much to compare it to but so far I haven't really had a problem with noise. It's not quiet but it not so loud that it bothers me while I'm watching TV or whatever in the next room.

This little machine does have a few different settings for heavier pots/pans, regular wash, crystal/glass, etc. It also hase a nice stainless interior although the shelves are plastic coated metal of some type.

The only real issue I have with this dishwasher is that the shelves are set up a little odd. The top drawer has some weird plastic things that fold over the tops of the glasses (maybe to hold them down?). The bottom shelf has a couple rack sections, one for plates/sausers etc that can be folded down flat to put bigger items and on for the rest of your stuff that is permanantly attached and doesn't fold down. Being only 18 inches you can get a good bit in but you really have to be creative and you're not going to fit a whole lot of large pans.

If you have the space obviously you'd probably be better off with a bigger model but for those who need something smaller this is a good option, especially considering the price.

Cons:
-Loud
-Plastic parts seem a little flimsy
-Can't handle a full load
-The wine glass holders on the top shelf are too short...so you can't even put a wine glass under them
-Tall (regular, just not short) glasses can only go on the outsides, too tall to fit in the middle of the rack
Pros:
-Great size for 2 people/condo
-Most inexpensive one for the size
-Good amount of cleaning options (hot, super hot, pans, etc)

You basically get what you paid for. It's not super quiet, but it gets the job done. I would not actually put 8 place settings in this puppy. I would give enough room between each plate if you really want them clean. Also wouldn't suggest waiting to fill it up til it's full, generally because I don't think it can do a good job if the food was stuck/dried on the plate. So either rinse well after use, and just use this to sanitize...or run it daily.

I have had the dishwasher for over 4 years. Its a champ! Being in my cabin left alone for weeks than it is put to nonstop use from icecream maker to all kinds of dishes and dried on egg. Even washed the bug zapper in it. Works great. Down side...Damn it was pricey!!

I had to send back this dishwasher twice. The first time it looked as if someone took a sledge hammer and smashed two places on the top that was covered up by the insulation. The second time I received it the latch was broken. Also, it didn't suprise me because the latch which would be used constantly was made out of a cheap piece of plastic. This plastic was broken when I received the dishwasher. The people at Supreme Outlet were very nice about it and had the dishwasher picked up twice. I had also called the Avanti company and they informed me that the warranty would not be honored on this because the dealer was not an authorized dealer. That really made me leery so I went to PC Richards and paid a little bit more for a Whirlpool, but it was constructed much better than the Avanti.

I purchased this dishwasher to install in a small kitchen. Worked great for 14 months and now will not fill with enough water to run the cycle. Had the water inlet valve replaced and it worked for one cycle and again wouldn't fill with the proper amount of water. Manufacture would not cover repairs (product has 1 yr warranty)!

Very problematic dishwasher. Always makes loud noise and doesn't wash dishes well. It eventually stopped working after only one year
