This book is the culmination of years of research and corrects known mistakes in "From Here to Obscurity", the other major research book on Ts. (in spite of "Obscurity's" mistakes, it is still a good companion book to be perused with this one!). It is a "must have" for anyone working on their T and wondering, "Just what year is this part anyway?" The writing style makes for interesting and enjoyable reading. In fact, this book is so good you'll want two copies; one for in-the-house, and one for out-in-the-shop, where it's likely to get dirty and well-worn from use! -David Dewey

Quite possibly the most complete reference on the Model T. Great photos and lots of detail information for restoring the Model T. A must for anyone who owns a T.

This is the most complete book on the subject. Mr. McCalley was the editor of The Vintage Ford, the Model T Ford Club of America magavine from 1966 to 1996

At over 600 pages, I cannot imagine the amount of work it took to research and compile a book this extensive and vast on the Model T Ford. This book encompasses all of the changes and variations from its inception in late 1908 to when the final car rolled off the assembly line in May, 1927.

The first 415 pages document each year with period and contemporary photos, all in black in white. The second section, labeled "Component Descriptions, lists changes in the major parts, ie. carburetors and speedometers, also with photo references. Close to 100 pages encompass the third section listing when specific engine serial numbers were produced, including those made in Canada. The remainder of the book is a year-by-year summary of the cars production, including a list and picture representation of the tools specifically used on the Model T.

All in all, it's a wonderful book, especially for those curious or new to the hobby. I even believe that those that have been with the MTFCI (Model T Ford Club International) for the past forty+ years will find this book a fun read. If you're looking to repair your car, this is the wrong book entirely - you'll need the Model T Ford Owner's Repair Manual. This is a historical reference and probably the best around. You won't be disappointed.

This book is a wealth of information about the Ford model T. If you own a model T, this book is one that you must have. The book however lacks a good index and some sections could stand to be re-edited along with some better illustrations and pictures. All in all the book is highly reccomended.

This book is very good if your a new Model T owner, & looking for alot of photos. AS far as text, I didnt find it real usefull, but some of the tool sections, & dates are invaluable.
