This review is from: Model Railroading's Guide to the Railway Express Agency: An Overview (Paperback)
Nice overview, of an important piece of the passenger train puzzle. Many if not most pages devoted to history and operations. Only 21 pages devoted to the prototype railway cars. Only 10 pages devoted to model building. Lots of pictures of trucks, trailers and containers. Many photos and drawings of airplanes. An Out-Of-Print book about an interesting aspect of the passenger train business. I'm glad I could buy this book for $!9.95 on Amazon. I know most people pay more than that now since it's out of print. The only game in town if you want to learn about modelling R.E.A. I wish there were more Prototype and Model photos of the Railway Express Freight Cars. I'd like to see some scale drawings of the railroad cars. More needs to be done on this subject. I hope someone rewrites and republishes this book or a similar book.
