4.0 out of 5 stars Good machine for NYC apartment! March 20, 2013
By CB
I purchased this machine and so far, it's been great. The clothes come out smelling great and just as clean as a larger machine. The machine is more quiet than an older model Avanti portable washer that I had however when it goes to spin cycle, it is very powerful and a little louder than I'd like. The ONLY DOWNFALL so far is the fact that there are only wheels on the back of the machine - the makers of this machine did not think how inconvenient that would be for moving the machine around. To move it you have to tilt it far to the back OR do what I did which was purchase a rug to put under it which makes sliding it very easy. Overall, a nice machine with the only problem so far being that there are no wheels in the front for easy moving. Big minus for the makers of this machine in that aspect!

1.0 out of 5 stars You can't leave it alone! April 21, 2013
By MissM
NOTE that the people who wrote good reviews of this washer have not had them long, or they don't use it for 4 loads a week. After 20+ uses, you'll see your clothes twisted up and tied in knotts -- you'll realize you have to stand by and watch this machine!! Danby, among others, make portable machines with agitators in the middle... acting more like a normal, full sized washers that homes have.
Also note that this has nothing to do with Avanti as a company -- the service is pretty good, at least on the phone. It's just that their machines are crappy...

3.0 out of 5 stars No front wheels!! August 31, 2012
I bought this through another dealer. There are very few reviews about this product. The overall machine is decent, but compared to older Avanti models, I am disappointed. I had a smaller washer that actually had wheels in the front and back. Sadly, this machine only has wheels in the back. This makes it extremely difficult to get to the sink. I had to purchase a dolly to put it on to make it easier to move. Not sure what Avanti was thinking.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great washing machine for apt life! July 4, 2012
Pros: Not gas needed, Just needs a sink, Cleans Well, Quiet, Portable, Great for small apartmentBottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I love this machine i live in a apt with no washer dryer and this little machine cleans my clothes like a full size one without the hook ups needed. And its portable , when i am not using i just store it away . Love it, anyone who is tired of going to the laundry matt should have this . Great for apts in the city!

2.0 out of 5 stars Junk March 1, 2013
I bought this and I kid you not, the thing did not even last a year before it gave me an error message and the power source was shot. I had an older Avanti that I bought used and it lasted three years, no issues. This one is junk and I wish I had bought a Kenmore or Whirlpool. Silly me.
