Editorial Reviews

Review

"For an intermedite or more experienced modeler, this book will be the perfect resource to make a contest worthy model of the Messerschmitt Me 262!" -Jean-Luc Formery, AeroScale

"Overall, this new manual from Osprey Publishing does not disappoint in any manner. It's skillfully written, with accurate build reproductions, unique and interesting variants, superb step-by-step color photography and detailed instructional text. Definitely a two thumbs up, and highly recommended from this modeler's point of view." -Mark Smith, AeroScale

Just your regular Osprey Modelling volume - something for everyone, every scale, every skill, great descriptions, brilliant techniques and great pictures. I'll only glve it 4 stars though, because the book should be (or have been) expanded, on the lines of the "Modelling the P-47"'s supplementary PDF, with an article on the not-so-brand-new 1/32 Trumpeter kit - it's sorely missed.

The osprey modeling manuals are valuable resources for the scale modeler. this entry the Me 262 is a good tool. Although its career was brief, it had significant impact and this book shows you how to do various models of the stormbird. A really useful section is on the restoration of a previously build kit and how to make it better. A lot us have seen poorly made glue bombs at garage sales and have hestitated. Not now.
A good investment and an excellent resource.

The book presented a fair treatment of a range of current Me 262 kits on the market. Given the quality of the author's models, I would have liked more photos of kits in production.
I was looking for more insight into how to improve the kits. I find modelling books often lack detail in techniques to truly assist beginner and immediate modellers to the level. Needs more step by step description of the authors' processes.
Worth the kindle price.
