The PzKpfw V Panther is considered to be one of the finest tanks of World War II due to its combination of mobility, firepower and armour. Developed as a response to the Soviet deployment of heavy armour on the Eastern Front, and later to serve in Normandy and Northwest Europe, the Panther established its reputation as one of the first truly universal tanks and its influence can be seen in the design of modern battle tanks to this day. About the Author
Steven van Beveren has had a lifelong interest in all things military that has led him to serve as a reservist in the Calgary Highlanders for a number of years. This interest in the military also led him to start building military models from an early age. Over the years, he has been a member in several different model clubs, participated in model shows and written several articles. He lives in Alberta, Canada.

Steve Beveren's book "Modeling the Panther Tank" fills a much needed void in my modeling library. An outstanding combination of photographs, "how to's", bibliography, historical data and kit/accessory list - I consider this one the best of the Osprey Modeling series to date. If you like to model the Panther tank, definately add this one to your library.

This is a good book if you are into the Panther. The only critique that I would give is that I wasn't that pleased with the interior photos of one of the models. I'm trying to build one with an interior (my first) and I guess I had higher expectations. Nevertheless I liked the book, and thought it was worth the money.
