I found that if you want to learn the language of auditing, have another reference handy. Often, the discourse goes on and on and on and could really be distilled down into a sentence or two that had a firm and grounded presentation. There were very few examples so it was difficult at best to try to understand the often high-level conceptual frameworks that were constantly being presented. I also noted quite a few editing errors that probably arose from cut-and-pastes that were not carefully reviewed. Also, figures and diagrams were reused and were not carefully reviewed either as information was present that didn't apply to the new scenario.

I believe you can find a better auditing textbook in the market. I took an auditing class with one of the authur in Portland and, as a result, was required to buy the textbook. But, I ended up using another auditing textbook in order to get an "A" from this class. The format and writing style are very difficult to follow and understand.

The book helps with the class that I am currently taking. It describes the standards that auditors have to following in very good detail. I also want to thank the seller for the fast shipment.

I really hated this book. This book made me hate the course, auditing. While the material, as related to auditing might be somewhat interesting, this book seemed to make it the most pointless subject to study. I have thoroughly enjoyed all my past accounting courses, and with this course, and this book , comes the first accounting course I truly hate. This course, or is it this book, I really don't know, has made me decide I will not sit for the CPA exam, because I have no interest in studying this material further. I agree with another reviewer who said shame on any instructor who uses this book.

This book is garbage. Shame on any teacher who uses this textbook!

It's difficult to read and more difficult to understand. I'm a straight 'A' student, a fast reader, fast learner, already familiar with auditing - and I can't follow this book. The best use for it is a doorstop.

Amazon.com is one of the best company to do business with, but some of the underscores working for Amazon.com are horrible. When one orders a product, they ship another. As a matter of fact, I order Modern Auditing: Assurance services and the integrity of financial reporting (8th ed.) by Boynton and Johnson, and I receive Study Guide Modern auditing (7th ed.) by Boynton and Johnson Kell. I have made a request to fix that error; so far, no one replies to me yet.

Again, several months ago I ordered 2 Intermediate Accounting (12th. ed.) by Donald E. Kieso, Jerry J. Weygandt and Terry D. Warfield, and I received one. Still, I replied that information to the dealership no answer. I hoped this e-mail would answer those underscores exertion for Amazon.com and help me to recover my money.

The item arrived quickly and in great condition! Would buy again from this seller. Thanks!

This book would have been a whole lot better by providing much more in the way of examples of the way businesses cheat and how they are caught (or not) by savvy auditors.

It's a college text, so it is probably already out of date.

The book is in fine shape. The seller is not. I needed the book for my class and it said that the seller would send the book within 2-3 days after my order was placed. She did not even send the book until 2 weeks after my order was placed. So it ended up being almost a month before I got my book.

This book is extensive but confusing. I had to flip back to different chapters to make sure I didn't miss anything.
