5.0 out of 5 stars An Excelent Example Of Power Metal Band !!!
Hollow is a new band from Sweden. Your sound is excelent. If you like Power Metal like Tad Morose and Stratovarius, you will like Hollow. I am in continuous investigation about new sounds: Black/Death/Thrash/Power Metal. If you like these too, write me.

1.0 out of 5 stars Hollow from Sweden.....nothing new
I'm not the type of person to bash other bands but after listening to this disk all I can ask is myself is how this band got signed. This disk probably wouldn't be so bad if it was 1987 but it's not. If I wanted to listen to this type of music I'd much rather listen to a great band like Queensriche than an obvious wanna be. If you like today's metal don't waste your...

4.0 out of 5 stars Not as depressing as most metal, August 21, 2005
This review is from: Modern Cathedral (Audio CD)
Wow, I got this cd for like 3 bucks on ebay, and I'm completely satisfied. They're just metal from sweden, but border along the lines of (I guess) thrash metal / power metal in the vocal section. The music, however, doesn't follow that same pattern, and they just play regular old metal that anybody could envision maybe death growls or just screams to. Overall, I liked it... but don't pay more than 8 bucks for it.

This band really ends up a Queensryche Clone when it comes to it. If you like Queensryche then you probably will like these guys. If not.....Then you don't need to read anymore about this band. I gave the songs a lot of "95%" but I must warn you that this is the type of music that will not please the ears on the first listen. I gave it 4 stars cause it's too much a clone of queensryche. Heres my review of the songs: 1. Trademark - A somewhat chechy song. It's mostly about music. . . .95%2. Can You Hear Me? - Cool sounding song. Has a mystical song to it. . . .95%3. Speak to Me - a fast simple song. Nothing interesting here. . .85%4. Bagatell 3 - Soft intro that I liked, then it gets heavy and here comes the Queensryche cloning again. . . .90%5. Crusaders - A simple queensyche song. Seems to be about just that, crusaders. . . .90%6. Lies - Queensryche type ballad(empire and Mindcrime era). It's interesting. . . .95% 7. Wounds - Speaks of his Selfishness. Decent mid-paced song. Enjoyable. . . .90% 8. In Your Arms - Doomy guitar. A tad faster song. Very moody. Something different which is one thing this album needs. . . .95% 9. Whispers - Very soft song. Very different song on here. When it gets louder it get a tad like a Led Zepplin sound to it. . . .95% 10. Hold Your Banners High - Cool intro and then it gets heavy for a second then it gets soft for the singer to start singing. But the coolness of the intro ain't going to save it. . . .85% 11. What I Can Be - Simple song at first. The guitar then gets better. . . .90%12. Waiting - An ok song, nothing special. Like many on here. . . .85%If you like this I would suggest the following: Queensryche - Greatest Hits, Judas Priest - British Steel, Iron Maiden - Piece of Mind, Nevermore - Dream Neon Black.
