I like modern furniture, and own several pieces including an Eames table, so when I saw the discounted price on this item I leapt to buy it. This is advertised as a lounge chair, and the pics show a fair degree of lean, but the chair I received isn't like that. The top section of the chair is almost vertical. This is definitely a sit-up-straight chair and as such is good for reading, or, in my case, for laptop use. So it doesn't work with the ottoman. I'm using the ottoman with my sofa.
The chair I received has scuff marks on the bottom, like it had been assembled before (assembly involved attaching the swivel base to the chair), so maybe this had been returned by another customer. The inside of the plywood is rough in places and needs sanding. The trim on the ottoman is uneven. It arrived promptly, but the cardboard box had split, and the bases were sticking out of the box.
I still like the chair, comfortable, very ergonomic and it looks great, and is probably worth the discounted price. But if you have the money and want this "lounger", then pay more and buy elsewhere from another supplier, maybe you'll get a better quality product.

Let me start by saying I'm totally pleased. It's a beautiful copy. I was worried that the photos online were of an actual Herman Miller Eames Lounge and that the product I received would differ, they're not and it doesn't. Time will tell, I suppose, but the craftsmanship seems to be good. The leather is comfortable, the veneer is attractive. I was concerned that the base might have four five legs like other copies I've seen but it's smaller and has 4 like the real thing.

As for the nit-picking: There is about a one square inch spot between the arm rest and the seat where the wood is exposed. I don't have a Herman Miller to compare too with me so I don't know if that surface is veneered on those chairs. It's not on this one but it obscured by shadows and doesn't really detract from the overall look of the chair. What kinda irks me though is that one one side of the chair i received, the top layer of ply has chipped off - clearly a defect not a design flaw. It really doesn't look right. Coordinating with Fedex to receive the chair was such a pain (just my work schedule, any fedex package is a pain for me) that I won't be sending it back. I'll live with it.

Both the chair and the ottoman teeter a little bit. I just set it up today so I'll probably figure out a way to adjust it so that this doesn't happen but it does now. So I'll include it.

I keep looking at it thinking that it's a tiny bit lopsided. Maybe it's my tile floor (that would explain the teeter too).

Over all I'm quite happy. For 15% of the price I got 85 % of the quality and it looks awesome from any angle. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from these guys again.

I'm an Interior Designer, and I recently purchased this chair & ottoman for client. Typically, I insist a client experience the furniture first hand, I.e., sit on the furniture to determine comfort.
Having said that, I broke a cardinal rule and purchased furniture via the internet. My concerns were heightened because I neglectfully read the reviews about the seller after purchasing the chair....ugh!
I was pleasantly surprised!
The chair & ottoman completely lived up to their description, and perhaps the previous reviews posted by others encouraged the seller to improve their services.
In any event, the chair & ottoman arrived in approximately one week. They look gorgeous, they're very comfortable, and my client loves them!

I LOVE this chair!!! It is everything they advertise and more!! It is BEAUTIFUL!! It is also sooo comfortable, I have been "Showing it off" and "Bragging" to everyone about my BEAUTIFUL lounge chair and ottoman!! The quality far exceeds the specifications and the pictures cannot possibly describe the luxurious look and feel of the leather and beautiful finish of the wood!! I am soooo very pleased with this purchase!! Also, Lexington Mfg. customer service reps were friendly and helpful!! A great experience!!
