I was expecting this book to be a revelation. To show what can be done with the ready parts we can buy.(genius) It does, but with a bit less imagination than I had anticipated. I have still come away with ideas that I didn't have before, but the projects contained in this book are not really that cool. The subject of the book itself has opened MY OWN ideas up - which has value, of course, but if you don't already have a working knowledge and a strong creative ideas resevoir, then you may not like it that much. So, its hard to say with this one - get it if you don't mind sending it back if it holds nothing for you. I have kept it, because of the info at the begining and because of what ideas it gives me that are aside from it, that are my own.

I agree with another reviewer that I was hoping for more from this book. I was hoping it would show how to incorporate found objects, but instead it did more of how to make your jewelry look "industrial". The projects are okay, but I felt like they were just how to make your jewelery "look modern" without using the "modern parts" like it promises. Don't get me wrong, there are a few examples with parts, but not every example like I was expecting. I did keep the book though, as I usually do with a lot of them to refer to for inspiration.
