Editorial Reviews

The Fourth of July, New Year's Eve, Mardi Gras-what would these celebrations be without the climactic display of fireworks exploding symbolically into the night sky?

In this exciting presentation brought to you by THE HISTORY CHANNEL®, travel to Spain and see how holograms are being used today to spice up the country's fantastic fireworks exhibitions. Take a trip to Florida's Walt Disney World and experience the future of fireworks choreography, a pyrotechnic missile launcher that sends shells 2,000 feet into the air and detonates them by remote control! Finally, get an in-depth look at how fireworks are being manufactured in England, India, China, and Japan.

In this electrifying program, join host George Plimpton and the first family of fireworks, the Gruccis, as they light the fuse on the history, technology, and future of pyrotechnics.

Good disc. Not enough technical infoirmation aboiut the manufactureof fireworks but certainly enough demonsrtrations of displays as well as interviews of the three main fireworks families.
