This review is from: Modern Methods of Particle Size Analysis (Chemical Analysis: A Series of Monographs on Analytical Chemistry and Its Applications) (Hardcover)
Out of curiosity I made a Google search several months ago for "Nanopar Analyzer",an analyzer that Dr.Charles Bean and I developed in the 1970s at the General Electric R & D Center. It was based on the Coulter Counter resistive pulse technique, but used a single submicron pore made by the Nuclepore-filter technique (a technique invented in our branch at the lab). With Bean's idea and my micromanipulative skills, we had succeeded in extended the measurable particle-size range down to around 60nm,and one could also measure the electrophoretic mobilities of the particles. The Barth (editor) book appeared a the top of the list. The first two chapters described and showed figures from our work, so, of course, I wanted a copy for my records. The $326 for the new book would have prevented that, but fortunately there was a used copy for $11.67.
