He holds a bachelor�s degree in Russian Language and Literature from Case Western Reserve University, and received his master�s degree and doctorate from Harvard University. He has written articles and monographs on topics related to race and ethnic relations, as well as on topics related to the sociology of mass communications and popular culture.
