4.0 out of 5 stars glasswerk review, April 9, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Modern Way of Letting Go / In Remote (Audio CD)
So here is Idlewild's last single off their critically-acclaimed third album "The Remote Part", and it is the sound of the Idlewild of old. There are guitars going off everywhere as the song roars into view, and they simply blast through the song. There's still Roddy's yearning vocals somewhere in the midst of all the noise, and there's still the catchy chorus that Idlewild find so easy to produce. So whether this single is an indication of the direction that they are going to take in the future only they can tell, but it's reassuring to see that they can still show the kids how to rock out properly.
