The sending unit worked fine....for just about four hours before the cheesy retainer on the float arm failed. Now, the float is drifing around somewhere inside of our tank, and the gas gauge reads "empty." We are faced with having to uninstall and reinstall just because of a cheap retainer clip. If you buy this product, be sure to permanently secure the float to the float arm.

I bought this unit to replace another manufacturer's universal sender that had wires and connections, and the rheostat, down 1/2 the depth of the tank. At 1/2 full, this was all submerged in fuel. I didn't like it for diesel; would not even think of putting it in a gasoline tank. The Moeller unit has the rheostat at the top of the tank, and there are no wires or connections sloshing around in the fuel. The float arm length is about the same as the depth of the tank, giving a more reliable reading. This unit has a much more logical design. The unit does include the gasket and screws. Also it has sealing washers, so no sealant is needed on the screw threads. A nice product.

I am a novice at mechanical repairs. The item fit perfectly and worked perfectly. I noticed that someone had a problem with the float falling off the rod, so I added a second retaining washer that was included and have not had any problems so far. Excellent product at a fair price. Thanks.

The unit simply works. It was an exact fit replacement in my old 1980 Glasstron boat. Now I know how much gas I have.

No problems with the sending unit. Easy to install and fit just fine. The diameter of the upper unit is 3 inches. Works fine.I also ordered the gasket kit but this is not necessary as the unit has a gasket that comes with it. Amazon refunded it with no problem. Overall very satisfied.

After buying the fuel gauge on the boat, decided to replace the sending unit just for good measure. I didn't want any problems down the road, so now I have peace of mind knowing my fuel system is good for another 10 years.

Ordered two units for the tanks on my Ranger. Nice and easy switch. Keep in mind that the holes on the sending units are not symetrical so make sure you lign up the float arm correctly. The easiest way is to use the gasket to determine the direction. Just takes a few minutes to install.

The unit came with new screws and a gasket. The shipping package was damaged, which bent the arm. After carefully straitening it, all was fine. Other reviews noted a problem with the push washers holding the float. I decided to eliminate any possibilities in the future and put some epoxy the ends of both washers. Mounted the unit and all worked fine.
