The Arbor one-handle kitchen sink with MotionSense technology in Spot Resist stainless (view larger).

Moen's Arbor kitchen collection delivers streamlined and timeless transitional styling that meets personal preferences and houses a host of performance features. The Arbor one-handle kitchen faucet offers a high arc design and pulldown spout that features a 68-inch braided hose. This version comes in Spot Resist stainless, and it's also available in chrome and oil rubbed bonze finishes.

This Arbor kitchen faucet also includes Moen's unique MotionSense hands-free feature, which immediately responds to your needs without you having to even touch the faucet. That's because MotionSense activates flow based on simple hand movements. This convenient, hands-free control assists in accomplishing routine tasks with greater speed and efficiency. Plus, the hands-free technology virtually eliminates the need to touch the faucet, reducing the spread of germs.

The high arc spout provides the height and reach to fill or clean large pots while the pulldown feature provides the infinite maneuverability for cleaning or rinsing. When filling a vessel outside of the sink, the pause feature conveniently stops the flow of water as the wand passes over the countertop.

The spout rotates 100-degrees and the handle (right side mount only) rotates forward to prevent hitting the backsplash. Temperature is controlled by the 100-degree arc of handle travel. It operates in stream or spray mode in the pullout or retracted position, and it has a spout height of 15.9 inches. Water flow is limited to 2.0 gallons per minute (gpm), and the lever handle is ADA compliant.

MotionSense: A Responsive Hands-Free Faucet Experience

Imagine the convenience of having a kitchen faucet that senses what you're trying to accomplish and, without you even touching the faucet, immediately responds to your needs. Moen's MotionSense technology utilizes advanced sensors to detect movement in two sensing zones, setting water flow in motion. With MotionSense, tasks like washing dishes, filling a glass of water and preparing the evening meal are simplified.

Faucets with MotionSense can be controlled in three unique ways. The Wave Sensor at the top of the faucet starts and stops the water flow with a simple hand movement above the faucet. The Ready Sensor near the base of the faucet identifies when an object -- like a cup or your hand -- is placed beneath the spout. It runs water for as long as that item remains in range and automatically shuts the flow off as soon as the object is removed from the sensing zone. Finally, the handle on the side of the faucet offers familiar, manual operation, letting you adjust flow and temperature.

With Reflex, Moen has created the best, most user-friendly pulldown faucet experience. Driven by input from actual users, Moen focused on creating a comprehensive collection of improvements and enhancements that work together to naturally respond to the way you work, and the way you want your faucet to work. Along with an ultraflexible hose, the spray wand offers the greatest range of motion for exceptionally easy movement. And it returns to the docked position after use without additional assistance--no matter where it is released.

Hydrolock Installation System

Moen's innovative Hydrolock installation system allows water lines to be connected with a snap for faster and easier installation, eliminating the needs for tools. Hydrolock assures the connection is secure, with an audible, visual, and tactile confirmation of proper installation.

Spot Resist

Spot Resist does just what it says -- it resists fingerprints and water spots. Moen's innovative Spot Resist finish maintains the brilliance of your faucet or showerhead to help you spend more time enjoying your home... and less time cleaning it. There has been no odd turning on by itself and works every time we wave a hand over the sensor or hold a glass under the faucet.

My Kitchen faucet that came with my house rusted inside and broke. I read numerous negative reviews on the Delta touch faucet so I decided to wait until the Moen Motionsense hit the market. I'm glad I waited because this faucet it is as good as advertised. I can't stop playing around with the faucet. My wife loves it and it's easier for my kids to get water without making a mess. I bought the faucet from faucet warehouse, not from Amazon because I preordered it (so I'm probably one of the first people to own it).

INSTALLATION. The install is very easy, in my opinion. It's about the same as any other faucet install with the exception of the control box. You install the faucet base the same as any other faucet. It comes with a tool to tighten it down so you don't need a single tool. After the base is installed, the differences come in. Normally you'd connect the faucet water supply lines directly to the hot and cold water supply valves. For this faucet, you screw a control box to the back of the cabinet. The supply lines from the faucet plug into the control box. The control box is what controls the flow via "motionsense." The supply lines are easy to connect to the control box, you just push them in. Then you connect the supply lines from the control box to the water supply valves. Everything is marked and is easy to follow. I would suggest you follow the instruction manual even though its not complicated. I also highly recommend purchasing the AC adapter. Otherwise, you will use batteries (Moen includes a set of batteries for the initial install). The AC adapter is not included (at least it wasn't when I purchased it).

USE. The motion sensors work wonderfully.

I spent a lot more than I typically do when I purchased the Moen Motionsense, because I decided I wanted a quality unit that would not cause me headaches down the road. Unfortunately that has not been the case at all.

Install went smoothly, and I was initially happy with the product. About 6 months after install I noticed a small drip of water coming from the valve handle. I then noticed water was also leaking out of the bottom of the unit under the sink as well, both drips were from the same issue, but I already had a good sized puddle in the bottom of the cabinet before I discovered the leak. I took the unit apart assuming it may need a new o-ring, etc. I found that the temperature mixing valve needed to be tightened up (this is a factory assembled part, so it would had nothing to do with my install). I found this irritating, but was able to fix the issue myself.

Fast forward about 3 more months and now I discovered a very large water mess under the sink cabinet. The cabinet floor and sides have both swollen and warped due to the water and will need replaced. This time the water was dripping out of the bottom of the electronic control box. I again disassembled the unit and this time the water was leaking around the diaphragm that seals the electric solenoid valve, and was leaking out of the solenoid coil body. I attempted to repair by adding some grease to the O-rings and rubber diaphragm, which worked for about 3 days, but now the leak has resumed.

I am very frustrated that a $500 faucet has given me so much grief with less than 1 year of ownership. Now I am looking at getting a different faucet, and now having to do major cabinet repair as well.

Purchased a Motion Sense kitchen faucet for our remodel. The installation on Nov.21st. was as simple as could be. The instruction were very easy to follow and all worked extremely well. Come to Dec 3rd. 1:00am and we hear a water fall, we are now standing in 4''of cold water. We hurriedly shut off all water and notice a dangling hose, it would appear that the inner hose locking device on hose #3 totally dislodge itself from the control box causing a geyser and flood. This lead to all draws filled with water, soaked all small electric appliance within the cabinets as well as everything else you would store under or around your sink. Our carpets in the family and dining room also got soaked since they are off the kitchen. We will NOT continue to own this faucet come 8:00am.when MOEN opens for business today. We are totally shocked that with a technological marvel as this that the water would not be shut off in instances like this. So, to potential buyers interested in this device I personally would not recommend this faucet regardless to the ease of installation, for if we were not home at the time I could not imagine what the damages would have been in our home. For the price we paid for this, and the reputation of Moen of being a quality product,it has cost us much more then it's worth, needless to say we are very very disappointed.

I purchased the faucet during a kitchen remodel. Fairly easy install. Purchased with optional 110 V adapter. Worked flawlessly for 6 months, then control module just went dead. Power adapter still outputting correct voltage. Contacted Moen customer service and they immediately shipped a replacement. Installed replacement which was much more difficult with the garbage disposal and RO unit now installed. Unit worked for about 6 hrs the upper sensor stopped working and the faucet just intermittently comes on with no one near it. I have reset it numerous times and no upper sensor. I'm done with it. For $400 one would expect better reliability. I've got better things to do with my time than being contorted under the sink.
