It's almost like having a new shower.,

This curved rod is perfect for older or odd-sized bathtubs/showers that don't fit the modern standards. Many rods like this are not adjustable, and that was the main selling point for my shower. From outside the tub, I never notice the curved rod, but from inside, it's like having a newly remodeled shower with the all the extra room.

Easy to install (did it myself while my husband was away), looks great and it definitely gives you more elbow room in the shower.

Fit my 4 ft shower stall,

Easy to install. I like this better than another curved rod I have in a 5 ft bathtub/shower. This rod has round ends with round covers that hide the mounting hardware. There are no straight edges on the mounting hardware that need to be straight to look nice.

Not sure if other reviews mention the fact that, thanks to the curve, it lets more light in the shower if you only have a centralized fixture -- a plus I hadn't considered. Had the same trouble as a few others with one of the caps not fitting completely over one end do to the angle (if the rod had been mounted further out, the cap would have clipped in place -- it fit well enough, so no big deal). For the marble tile in my shower I bought a kit at Lowes that had a 5/16 drill bit with carbide tip, anchors, and screws (almost seemed made for this project). Stud finder also came in handy. I really love it. Made a big difference.

I bought this for my 59" shower. It looks great once you get it put up and it adds a lot of room in the shower. It feels brand new. My only complaint for the shower rod is that the metallic piece that is supposed to cover the screws to the wall does not fit flush against the wall...and thus will not stay in place. It works on one side but not the other.

Has pros and cons, what doesnt...,

I'd give this a three and a half if I could. On one hand, I read the reviews about the sub par metal mounting screws it came with, so went to use my own drywall screws and anchors. Ran into problems when 2/6 screws actually hit a stud, but that's not their fault. Bad directions, as they didn't specify what size drill bit to use for their anchors anyway.BIG con for me - the two pieces fit together with a plastic bit that slides into one of the sides - two problems, it ripped a bit in the two minutes of handling before I mounted it, was able to get it inserted but it took care. Big problem though, the hooks on my shower curtain catch in that area as I slide it from the left to the right (that slightly increases the rod width) but doesn't as I slide it from the right to the left (and the rod slightly decreases in size). This is irritating as all get out, and we haven't even finished the rehab to the point where we are up and running yet. I'll also say that the rod is a bit wiggly if you press up and down on it in the middle, not that I am in the habit of wiggling my shower rod around to be irritated by it...but it doesn't make me feel it's sturdy at the midsection. I mounted it a bit too far out in our cramped bathroom, so I'm going to have to move it - it certainly does increase space inside the tub though. Both sides mount flush to the wall at least. The catching on the middle of the rod is a big negative for me though, I admit if I'm aware of it every time I shower I'll be throwing it in the garbage and getting a straight rod again so I don't have to deal with that issue. If you get to slide your curtain to the right when you exit the shower it probably won't be an issue at all, but if you, like me, have a toilet to the left side of the tub and have to slide it to the left to exit the shower, you might want to consider something else.

Great bar, but get different anchors,

I got this bar just a week ago and finally put it up. I had all the proper tools to install it, but some the metal anchors wouldn't go in all the way and bent. I went to Osh bought some plastic anchors like these OOK 59208 60 Piece Assorted Screw and Anchor Kit. They only cost $2 so that was good. On one side of the bar I used the supplied anchors, and on the other I used the plastic ones from Osh. The plastic ones are much easier to install, and get the job done. The bar looks great and the adjustable joint is hardly noticeable. I'm in an apartment now, and the adjustable feature was a major selling point for me. If it came with the plastic anchors it would've been a 5 star easily.

Looks nice but hardware isn't adequate,

Installation took longer than necessary because anchors bent and then did not remain flush to wall when screwing in the bolts. This pulled the rod attachment slightly out of line, so as a result the rod does not feel completely secure and the chrome caps do not fit well. With adequate hardware this would be a nice product, but as it is I would not reccommend.

Went up easy. Need a carbide bit for clean tile holes - but other than that - simple tools are all that are needed.

This is a more detailed install versus installing a straight rod, but I was able to get it done in less than an hour and am happy with the results. I installed it in a curved shower tub and it does a very nice job of adapting the curtain fit to the shape of the tub.
