4.0 out of 5 stars Holds on non-parallel
Holds firmly even though the walls of the tub are not parallel. Height is just right and the high-low handles are very convenient.

3.0 out of 5 stars tub bar
I bought this and my tub sides were tapered so it would not fit.
If your tub is not perfectly flat on both sides where you want to install this bar it will not work. Also be sure to measure the depth of your tub as this one will only fit exactly the size it says. Anything even a 1/32th of an inch wider will not allow the bar to fit over the side of the tub. I had...

I really wanted this item for safety reasons.. It was a shame when I got it and went to install it on tub side and it would not fit. I wish I knew it only opened wide enough to fit a max size of 5 and 3/4 tub. Mine is 5 1/2 , but then tapers out to a size of 6 1/2 so it would not go over the side. Be sure to measure the width of side of tub down at least 6 inches, not just across the top as it may jet out like mine.
I wish I knew !!
The Helping Hand company I purchased it from were so nice and understanding I would use them again. This was my first experience using Amazon.

My mom lives alone, and I worry about her slipping getting into the tub/shower.This product is sturdy and steady. I recommend it for anyone who is not steady on thier feet. It fits over most standard bathtubs.

It's a lot of work for both sides to return this item!
