I do not like the fact that it does not shut off the water completely when in the pause mode.

There's a good reason the flow doesn't shut off completely when you use the "pause" function on a hand-held shower. This is a common comfort/safety feature of "medical" showers and is NOT a faulty feature. The small amount of flow maintains the warm temperature of the water in the hose until it is turned back on. Otherwise when you turned it back on after a period of "pause" you would get a brief blast of cold from the residual water remaining in the hose and pipes. The word "Pause" is used to mean the water faucet is in the ON position so that warm water is allowed to flow slightly through the hose. The slight flow of water through the device, maintains the temperature. If the faucet is turned OFF, the water in the hose and pipes will, of course, become as cold as the current ambient temperature in the pipe's location. If the device drips with the faucet off, it is probably defective, but if it drips with the faucet ON, it is probably not defective. A hand-held shower isn't meant to replace a faucet, it replaces the shower head. All of the juvenile posturing over this OLD post is hysterically funny.

I looked and looked for a hand-held shower head with a long hose. All I could find were models with 5-foot hoses. I had one with a 5-foot hose, and it wasn't long enough. I finally found this model with a 7-foot hose on Amazon, and I ordered it instantly. The faucets in our house are all Moen faucets, and I love them. Our kitchen sink has a Moen pull-out faucet, and it is the best kitchen faucet I have ever owned. Our bathroom sinks and bathtubs all have Moen fixtures, and it is a great brand. I had reservations about the plastic hose that came with this model, but after using it, I have nothing bad to say. It works perfectly and I am 100% happy with it. I was a little worried when I first installed it because the "cradle" that screws onto the pipe leaked quite a bit. I followed the directions and used the teflon tape on the threads. I unscrewed the cradle and used more teflon tape, and it still leaked. So I unscrewed it again, took off all of the teflon tape, and tried it again without any teflon tape. It didn't leak this time, and it made me happy, because I had no other ideas how to make it stop leaking. All in all, this is a great shower head and well worth the price. And the 7-foot hose is wonderful.

This is a great product. The hose is extra long and this comes in handy. I love the pause button. I don't feel as wasteful with water. This hand held shower has a nice force and it is easy to change the water control with the thumb switch. Handheld shower heads are wonderful and this is the best one that I have purchased and I have had several.

This showerhead broke after a little over a month of use. The handle developed a hairline crack and pretty powerful stream of water is now shooting from the side. Was good while it lasted, however i'm going to stick with Waterpik from now on as i don't see myself replacing a $40-dollar item once a month.

We've been buying and using handhed showers in our homes for 40 years. So we've sampled a bunch of them at every price point. This one is great at the price. I knew I wanted a thumb-control for spray changes (rotating a showerheaed with soapy hands is so hard it's comical). This thumb-control works well. The spray is strong compared to previous Waterpik. The long hose is a terrific plus for kids, dogs, and seated shower users. The pause function is very useful. Unit looks OK except for ugly gray plastic hose, but I think that goes with the price, as does the plastic construction. You can pay $100-$500 more for a fancier Moen or Kohler if you choose to, but it will not function better or be easier to use than this model. We went with the thrifty choice, since we know very well that no matter what you buy, in about 5 years something will go wrong with it and you will need a new onw.

For this being a Moen product, I think they could have done better. The couplings at the ends of the hose are plastic, they will crack very easily if they are tightened too much, making the hose worthless. I had to put my old hose back on. It has metal couplings.
There is only one outer ring of water besides the center pulse setting. There is not enough water allowed to come out of the outer ring to suit me, so I had to remove all water inhibiters inside the unit to allow enough water flow to make a rinse economical. I think Moen should design a head with 2 outer rings of water flow for those of us who want a decent rinse, because the outer ring is reduced so much when the pulse setting is even half way on. They can keep the pulse setting as far as I'm concerned. For me, if the pulse is more than half way on, it beats on me too much.
The only reason that shower head is still in my shower is because of the button that reduces the flow a lot when water is not needed such as soap-up time or head washing time. That is economical.

This handheld shower head is a fine product. I installed it without difficulty. There is no leak and works as expected for the most part. However, I did expect a little more from Moen so in someway, I was somewhat underwhelmed.

The two main selling points of the product for me were the the 7-ft long hose and pause control. The long hose is as expected but the pause control is not. I did not expect that even when "pause" is engaged, the water flow is only reduced, not stopped. If I pause a video on a DVD player, I do expect the frame to freeze, not just slow down.

The shower head is light, apparently made of all plastic. To some people, light weight is an advantage. But I like to have the solid feeling of brass, at least the on the outer shell. So I feel that it is made a little too cheaply. As far as I can tell, the whole package including all fittings does not contain any brass parts.

The water flow from the shower head is quite weak. I would not be happy if I were to use it for my own use. But since I will use it to wash my two dogs, I am sure that they would not complain as they hate taking shower anyway.
