The plastic Quick-Connect connectors appeared cheaply made and not very durable.

And the connector didn't have any washer or rubber seat.

We bought this beautiful faucet from Home Depot. With the Moen name, we thought we had purchased a high-quality product. Upon opening the box, we noticed the connectors in the box differed from what was shown on the box and on the instruction sheet. The plastic Quick-Connect connectors appeared cheaply made and not very durable. However, due to our having confidence in the Moen name, we went ahead with the installation. My husband even used tie-wraps to keep the connectors firmly in place....just in case. Five days later, when turning the faucet on, water began spraying all under our counter. The Quick-Connect for the sprayer had come loose. I pushed it back into place and made sure the connector appeared tight. I gave a quick tug on the tie-wrap for extra assurance that everything was as tight as it could get. I turned the faucet on again, and once more (without even using the sprayer), the Quick-Connect failed and water started spraying all under the counter. As of now, we are unable to use our new sink and new faucet. I will be contacting Moen tomorrow morning to see if there are better connector options than the connectors that were included with the faucet. We are not willing to go back to using these same flimsy connectors. If there are no better options, we will have no choice but to disassemble the faucet and return it to Home Depot. We are very disappointed in the connectors Moen chose to include with the Lindley faucet.

The faucet was installed with the help of a qualified plumber in September. Two months later, it is leaking at the base where it goes into the hole. I called back the plumber, and the leakage occurs because the faucet stem, though installed as firmly as possible, wiggles up and down in the base due to poor design, allowing water to collect in there as another reviewer noted, and pool up and leak into your counter top and below. I will be returning it to the bix box store and buying a Grohe or Wolverine Brass which you have to order through your plumber as those companies don't deal with big box stores anymore. I'll be happy to get rid of this piece of junk and stop dealing with big box stores myself, with their terrible quality products and their penchant for happily making huge profits while wasting customers' time and money.

My wife and I installed ours and are very happy with it. The plastic sprayer is a problem? Not for me. It makes total sense and will probably last a decade or two looking good. The valve, spout, structural stuff are metal. Some parts are plastic, but none that seem to me to be stresses or likely to wear from regular usage/contact. Good for me that the negative reviews have let me buy it for about half of original retail and, yes, get updated installation instructions from the Moen website. They changed the wrench (included so a basin wrench isn't needed) and a few other minor things.

Oh, well. Maybe we will fall out of love with it, but I am really liking it, so far.

The other reviewers are, how should I say it, Nuts. This is a quality product for a reasonable price. You wouldn't want the sprayer to be heavy metal. With soapy hands, it could be dropped causing damage to the sink or broken glass. The other bit about pathogens is in "tinfoil hat" territory.

Just received this weekend. Installation went fairly smooth considering there were no written words (none) on the instructions. Looks very nice.
Now if Moen will stand behind it's product...
Added-it's been a week +. So far this looks and feels good. Must say however because of its arch and height it can be 'splashy'. If you have a shallow sink ( less than 9" depth) you may want to get something shorter. And the soap dispenser has yet to turn the water off no matter how many times I reach for it ;)

Instructions are almost entirely pictorial but even though parts are not identified by name, installation went without a hitch. The included wrench is really appreciated as it facilitated reaching the attaching nut in a very tight space between the sink back and cabinet - good move Moen. I was a bit disappointed with the weak water flow and gained some improvement by increasing water pressure at the faucet level to 65 PSI. I'm not sure of the purpose of the small plastic insert with three tiny holes that the water must pass through and an accompanying O ring where the spray head attaches to the supply hose but the flow improved after I removed the two pieces. All other fixtures in the house have plenty of flow but this fixture apparently has restrictions in the water path that is a design issue. To many users the flow is probably fine but guess I was expecting a bit more. Some other reviews I've read describe a problem with the spray head not adequately retracting when pulled down. If the weight is installed as detailed in the instructions and there are no obstructions in the hose travel, all works perfectly.

All in all, I am very satisfied with the quality, function and appearance.

Do Not Buy this Faucet. The Moen Lindley CA87008SRS is of very poor quality: critical parts are made of fragile painted plastic instead of durable metal. Most importantly: the design is dangerous: the spout attachment has a cavity that gathers and holds liquid. This is dangerous because, being around a sink where food is prepared, this cavity will become contaminated with food debris which will grow dangerous bacterial pathogens that will give you food poisoning. There is a government food safety organization called NSF, National Sanitation Foundation, which inspects and certifies food preparation equipment to be safe. The NSF seal of approval insures that there are no hidden spaces that cannot be cleaned. This faucet would fail an NSF inspection. I have notified Moen, I have notified NSF, I have notified cpsc.com. The Consumer Product Safety Commission is the government agency which issues recalls of dangerous products.
