They are very gentle on the clothing and they hold up well.

Unlike the wooden clothes pins, you don't have to worry about the stains from the old wood transferring to your clothes.

I use these to hang my cloth diapers up to dry and they work perfectly.

We bought these clothes pins last year and they worked well at first but within 10 months they began to break. All that have broken do so at the handle where the plastic is thin near the spring. The spring is just too strong for the thinner plastic after it weakens from UV light. We have wooden clothes pins that have lasted for years. These clothes pins should be considered disposable within a year.

Due to arthritis, I have trouble using the regular old wooden clothespins, so when I saw these I was hoping they would be much easier to use. Well, they certainly have proven to be all they promised! They are larger than the wooden pins I've used in the past, so they are easier to hold on to and they grip the clothes on the line much better and they're sturdy enough to hold the clothes on the line through heavy winds. I'm sold. I'll be ordering more of these in the near future.

I love these clothes pins. They are a little pricey but worth the money as they are very durable in all types of weather. They are also easy on the fingers as they are cushioned and easy to pinch. Despite their comfort they give a good hold. These would be very beneficial for anyone who has trouble with their hands.

These are well designed The handles, the part you squeeze to open the clothes pin, have slip-resistant, stippled pads on them, perhaps of rubber. The springs are strong and well-seated in their grooves. The clamps, fixing the clothes to the line, are also lined with the same material as the handles.
The clamps are not flat, but an oval, the better to fix the cloth of the garment you are drying to the line.
Back of the clamp is a round opening. As you take the clothes down this serves to keep the pin on the line so you don't have to manipulate the garment and the pin at the same time. I take my garments off the line and leave the clothes pins there, retrieving them after the laundry is folded and put away.
It is nice to buy a product that does the job so well. I'm ordering another pack because I have on occasion run out of pins.

I bought these Soft Grip Clothes Pins after chucking out recently purchased wooden clothes pins that had no power to grip and that easily twisted apart just opening them. The old wooden ones I had that still work great some 20 years later are no longer manufactured. An internet search turned up these. I read the reviews, bought them, and couldn't wait for them to arrive. There was one review of this product with carrier basket that mentioned they didn't grip her clothesline tight enough to keep items from sliding, but all others raved about their tight grip. I took that to mean that they would grip the thicker, cotton rope clotheslines, but not the thinner coated clothesline. When they came, I rushed downstairs to try them and realized that my indoor clothesline is the thinner coated style.

So, they do have nice tight springs and the wider, no-slip ends make them easier to use without flying out of your hand when you open them. On the coated line, they work just fine for thicker clothing, but do slide with thinner items. It has been too cold to hang clothes outside here, but I am anxious to try them on my thicker outdoor clothesline. I'm just so happy that I don't have to deal with the cheap flimsy wooden ones any more that I don't care if my clothes slide, but this is the only reason I didn't give them 5 stars. I think they are designed to grip the clothing in such a way as to not leave clothespin marks. This company now needs to make a second line of clothespins for those of who have the thinner coated lines. But, I love them and am glad I bought two packages.

I still have some of the old made-in-USA wooden spring clothespins. I bought some imported clothespins in several places locally - they split in half and the springs popped off. I had more clothes on the ground than ever - even with double or triple pins in the usual pinning places. So I decided to try these plastic European clothespins. They are expensive - I need more than 100 on some days - but I decided I liked them after the first day of use. That day there was a 20 mph wind with gusts into 30 mph. Not a single broken or popped clothespin, no clothes on the ground. After using them for several weeks, I am happy with them on all sorts of items, from underwear (yes I do hang it out!) to jeans, t-shirts, sheets, and beach towels. They leave less indentations on the clothes than the wooden ones. I do not keep the clothespins outside, so I don't know how they would hold up in that situation. These pins are larger than the wooden ones, and I find I can't go out to the line and take down 4 or 5 pices and hold the pins in my hand while I am doing it. But that is a small sacrifice to have all the clothes still hanging after a day on the line.

The clothes pins are very easy to use and very easy on your hands. However, because I don't fold my laundry over the line and clip, they do not hold the heavier articles of clothing that I launder. I hang laundry out by securing the article of clothing against the clothes line and clipping so as not to fold the ends (so I don't have to iron). If you hang clothes the normal way by folding the ends over the line and fastening, then this product would be a good choice, as they are well made and very easy to open/close.
